Dear Reality Exoverb v1.0.0 [MOCHA] screenshot
MOCHA | VST3/AAX | 366.34 MB
Fuel your stereo productions with an immersive fingerprint and glue your mix with the most natural reverb. EXOVERB offers 50 true-to-life sounding acoustic scenes with unheard three-dimensional depth and width. Achieve cleaned-up stereo mixes with more space for your tracks, relying on EXOVERB's proprietary reverb engine with synthesized spatial multi-IRs.

Main Features
50 acoustic scenes that let your tracks shine
Enhanced spatial perception
EXOVERB provides a unique spatial distance perception based on the fundamentals of spatial hearing. Choose from 50 hand-tailored acoustic scenarios from four categories: Ambiences, Rooms, Halls, and Plates.
Enjoy true-to-life sounding reverbs with a three-dimensional sound stage on speakers and headphones.

Intuitively hit the sweet spot
Triangle pad
EXOVERB’s triangle pad lets you easily create the perfect blend of reverb, early reflections, and dry signal.
Define the ratio of the early reflections and the late reverb on the x-axis. The y-axis defines the level of your dry and wet signal.

Go beyond two-dimensional stereo sound
Direct control
EXOVERB follows Dear Reality’s easy-to-use approach, providing direct access to commonly used functionalities like Pre-Delay, Size, and Decay.
By default, EXOVERB gives you a greater sense of depth with natural spatial separation. Using the Depth and Width parameter, you can further adjust the front-back space of your mix to increase the acoustic illusion in stereo recordings based on our human distance hearing.

Make it fit your mix
Versatile EQs
EXOVERB offers three straightforward 3-band EQs to provide maximum flexibility to adapt the tonal character to your mix. Apply the separate low-shelf, parametric, and high-shelf filters to the early reflections, reverb, or summed signal to get the right reverb tone for your tracks direct from the plugin.

It's a bit of a CPU hog!

Wow, the size.. I assume IR's?

yep joe, in the description above "synthesized spatial multi-IRs"

I've never heard of a plug-in using "synthesized" IRs. The main idea with IRs is that you can capture the response of a real space (or gear), but maybe synthesized ones can sound just as good, or better?

Sounds interesting, nonetheless. Looking forward to trying it out. Thanks MOCHA and kontolatoz!

don't know for you but in ableton this guy's stuck on the first preset wich sounds amazing but you can't touch no knobs nor change preset... kind of useless if it is not fixed

finally got it to work but the dev needs to think about using it...

CPU hog and Verbs are not a good match

It works but some presets eat 2 full cpu cores... Some presets sound pretty
good. Lets see if I can resample my favorites and use them in other reverbs. Maybe the quality will be worse... Shorter presets are less impacted, but over all it seems to be not very effective in this version. (Try to use 8 instances of it in single project... keeps the room warm) The sound is pretty good on some presets, and because sound matters I recommend it. In the end, you could print it and have a nice remarkable reverb.

not sure if it is me or what, but for a convolution based reverb this has that metallic quality to the sound which is really disappointing because most people move away from (bad) algo reverb because of that factor alone.
It makes no sense to say you’re not good at it. It’s like saying, “I’m not good at being a monk.” You are either living as a monk or you’re not.

Yeah it needs some dampening or something. But it does seem like the metallic sound is only on certain IR's. And reducing size or decay makes a more transparent sound

Yikes, well... if this is working correctly then it deffo is no good for tracking that is all I can say. At 128spls it grinds to a asio clock reset. The only thing I can think to do for that use case is to capture settings from it and turn them into IRs that can run more optimally elsewhere in another plugin. Geeesh.

LOVE the depth and width control. Front-to-back depth is really the secret sauce of a pro mix imo, but it it requires some pretty experienced understandings of psychoacoustics. This makes it way simple. Gonna use this + early reflections only on a lot of sources

EDIT: Ok yeah this is unusable on my computer unfortunately (i7-8700). Even on Reaper it glitches out while being the ONLY plugin being used in the project. That is a damn shame.
They need to add a 'Eco' mode so you can run it during playback, then set it to 'High CPU' mode when it's time to render.
Hopefully future versions are more optimized
