I've had this as part of my bass subgroup template for years and it looks so ghetto I was thinking I should probably replace it, but maybe not now there's an updated version.

There's some debate about bass mono plugins causing phase issues and sometimes doing more harm that good, but haven't tested it. I should probably compare with Ozone's imager as if anyone got it right it's likely them

I wasn't able to test the original Basslane in PluginDoctor since it's 32-bit, but will compare between this, Ozone and Monofilter.

Basslane Pro (don't know about this free version) is made to be able to monoize lows without causing phase differences between left and right, and also to be able to recover antiphase signals (signals that are completely in the side/difference channel) to mono.

"put me on drums" from W.A. productions yields almost the same outcome, with the former having more options than this freebie... Intensity from -Zplane combined with either this or 'put me on drums' gives just that little extra oomph to make ish sound much more convincing in te mix
