This looks/sounds very promising!

Unfortunately it doesn't seem like he has fixed the issue with the gain reduction metering (that's present in some of his other compressor plug-ins like Buster and SPECOPS). The VU-meters in the plug-ins are showing twice the amount of GR than what's actually happening. Not the end of the world, and easy to work around if you know about, but it's such a stupid problem with such an easy fix (supposedly).

You mean the "solid-state" button? The "tube" button increases even harmonics while decreasing odd harmonics. However, the solid-state button only affects the tone if the comp is doing some compression. Kinda weird since the tube/solid-state buttons are part of the pre-amp (if I understood it correctly), so it should change the tone even if the comp is disabled.

EDIT: I understand now. It's working just like it should! The button to the left is for the pre-amp and it swtiches between solid-state (off) and tube (on). The button to the right is for the comp detection circuit and it also switches between solid-state (off) and tube (on). That's why you thought the button was named "tube" while I thought it was named "solid-state"! Both of the buttons toggle between tube and solid-state

that's kinda a weird GUI design. They should hire a new UI & UX staff. lol
