Well, with all the buildup and hype about Rx10, many thought this was going to be an incredible and major upgrade and improvement.
Not so, not really.
You could be in Rx9 and not know the difference.
I thought they might have added a fifth separation segment for Music Rebalance, but no. Same 'ol, same 'ol.
Not that iZotope Rx Series isn't great, I use it all the time, but Rx10 (a/k/a/ Rx Pro) just doesn't live up to what iZotope had led everyone to believe it would be.
Thanks for the chance to see it, hidera!

This version features a new way to navigate and edit speech and dialogue, major improvements to our assistive technology, and a new Repair Assistant plug-in. We’ve upgraded and expanded our frequency resynthesis tech and have added an adaptive (automatic) mode to Dynamic De-hum. And Selection Feathering has been improved and relocated to be more accessible.

New in RX 10

Text Navigation: Automatic speech to text transcription of English language audio with a fuzzy search for finding words and variants.
Multiple Speaker Detection ADV: Works as part of Text Navigation to automatically find and color-code the sections of speech associated with different speakers.
Repair Assistant: Fully re-designed from the ground up with new analysis, processing and a streamlined UI. And now there’s a new plug-in version.
Spectral Recovery ADV: New neural nets deliver substantially better quality for resynthesizing upper frequencies and now have the ability to resynthesize lower frequencies as well.
De-Hum Adaptive Dynamic Mode: Automatically eliminate electromagnetic interference and other complex noises that change pitch over time without having to learn a noise profile.
Selection Feathering: Now includes frequency feathering and has been moved from Preferences to the main window.
First Time User Experience: Product tours for new and returning users on how to use RX and what’s new in RX 10.
Automatic Preset Migration: RX 9 presets are automatically copied to RX 10.

Personally I'm not suprized that this update is more incremental than revolutionary because of how close in proximty it is to Rx 9. When I started seeeing their marketing after Neutron 4 dropped saying "you'll get 2 more product updates this fall" I was guessing like ok soooo its about that time for ozone but what will the other one be, cause it can't be RX. Lol Yet here we are.

Am I able to separate vocals from instrumentals better with this version?

Don't use RX's music rebalance to extract vocals. There are just better options out there: Hit 'n' Mix RipX DeepAudio, and Ultimate Vocal Remover 5. The latter is probably the best, because it's free, open source, and it's way more complex than any of its adversaries, which adds to the success of the extraction, since you can test multiple AI models to fit your needs, and adjust other settings which are relevant to the end result.

The former is suited for creating stems out of songs, and it's surprisingly good at it. I'd say the best at it.

so the best for you buddy is Ultimate Vocal Remover? I gonna give it a spin, thanks

Yep. Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure all of these paid acapella extraction services such as lalal.ai use the same AI models that are available in UVR. Anyhow, I think UVR is objectively better in every aspect. That said, you do need a high end system to be able to do the extractions relatively quickly (a beefy GPU and the "GPU conversion" option activated will make the extraction process much faster, as stated in its github page). I strongly suggest you follow the guide on the linked github page, it explains every option there is.

hello everyone... but if what you want is to separate me acapellas from the instruments... the RIPX software is the best program for that... it is conserved just for that

I made an offical post along with another free but cool post too, but if you want to get this now, more power to ya. It is 2.2 MB installer that adds VST2 for RX 10 Pro, so you can also Jbridge them to x86 world.

Music rebalance crashes in best mode

quote by jewelryMusic rebalance crashes in best mode

It's not crashing here, at least not the "Separate" and the "Render" functions.
Just the "Preview" in Best mode was, in fact, taking too long and i gave up previewing in that mode. Maybe due to limitations in my computer.
Other than that it's working fine here.
In theory, theory and practice are the same.
In practice, they're not.

Yes, that is it. Since its introduction as a feature, I am not able to preview anything close to realtime. I know settings that work well enough and I just put them, then render. heh

In the beginning, I think I made a few 10 second clips and compared that way.

One of these days maybe i have patience enough to wait for a Preview in Best mode! :-D

Until then, i am doing just like you: use my own settings wich i set in "lower quality" modes, with shorter sections of audio and then render in Best mode.
In theory, theory and practice are the same.
In practice, they're not.
