Thanks 4 this. Has the mic recognition/input problem (as in Cubase 12) been fixed?
I guess this will be slightly more CPU hungry than Cubase. I'm interested in testing how well it's optimised. If it's worse than Cubase 12 (pathetic), then it too will be deleted. Reaper still KING for me.

Both Cubase and Nuendo (V.R) came with 
microphone_fix.command
and maybe that fixed it.

Must've missed it in Cubase 12, can confirm mic fix works perfectly when setting up this package. Thanks a million for posting Hidera. Will use Nuendo 12 solely for tracking, then mix/master in Reaper.

i got a problem when i open the microphone_fix ---- Error: table access has 12 columns but 13 values were supplied This happen when i put my user password in terminal

its working on both.. cubase and nuendo.. i didnt had to use the command microphone_fix.command to fix it.

Had an issue where Cubase wasn't receiving input signal after updating, though I just had to uncheck and recheck the mic access in security settings on Mac OS. No need for terminal command.

Actually, I downloaded anyway and confirm is working fine on M1 Mac. Good for tracking duties, still nowhere near as well optimised as Reaper..

There are actually various options within the SIP protection. If you type 'csrutil status' in Terminal, you'll see 7 options. I'm guessing you can leave 'Filesystem protection: enabled', while 'Kext Signing: disabled' - because the Steinberg releases probably use an unsigned kext.

Apparently not in Mojave. If I type "csrutil status", it just reads "System Integrity Protection status: enabled". However, this is a very cool piece of info, thank you for sharing it!

(Edit: I checked it out in recovery mode and the selective SIP commands aren't recognized. SIP is either all the way enabled or disabled. Not sure which OS you can do this with, but it's not Mojave, and I have Command Line tools installed, etc.)

Follow instructions verbatim, works fine (M1 Macbook Air). Mic input worked after applying the microphone fix command (included) in install package. √√√

@Iggy: I run 10.14 on a Hackintosh with Open Core. But the MacOS System is unaltered, so the same as on real Macs. Here's a little from their Hackintosh guide:

Still have no idea how to get this to work on my system and am too paranoid to deep dive (I still have issues with just disabling SIP, let alone potentially screwing up my system for future updates!), but again, I really appreciate the links and advice!

No problem. With Open Core it's just messing around with the bootloader. If I fuck up I always have a clean copy to return to. I would be cautious like you if I had a real Mac..

Maybe i am idiot, But a very sad one. It doesn't work on my virgin-like Mojave M1 Macbook Pro with Rosetta 2. Not Nuendo, not Wavelab, not Cubase. SIP is disabled. No errors during installation, but always "License not found". What the heck am i doing wrong? Please help me.
