It works but only in Rosetta 2 mode..Logic Pro v.10.7.3 obviously ... for the other DAWs I don't know since I only have Logic Pro installed on my Mac M1.

everything works for me in all DAWS and logic as well M1. so odd you gotta run rosetta. most if not all are running M1

Hi,

If you can explain to me the method you used to crack waves with Mac M1 I would be grateful. Obviously I can read the info but what I don't know is that you may have used some scripts on the terminal app that I haven't used or I have done it but in the wrong way ...

PS: On my Mac M1 I have Monterey installed (latest version available v.12.3.1) .....I wouldn't like that to be the reason.....I know of many people who have a mac M1 but with Os Big Sur installed and who have far fewer problems than me!

Unfortunately it's a bit more complicated than expected ... as soon as I've found a solution I'll post it here! However, I believe it will be possible to do so!

EDIT: Unfortunately on Mojave and Pro Tools Legitimate the procedure doesn't work. On Logic Pro everything works perfectly (apart from StudioRack) .... but this also happened before removing and reinstalling all Waves. Further updates follow after trying the procedure on M1.

EDIT 2: Unfortunately even on Mac M1 and Logic Pro v.10.7.3, it only works in emulation mode with Rosetta 2 (StudioRack apart) .... but this also happened before removing and installing again all the Waves. So for me nothing has changed compared to 4 hours ago! Having said that there are still some plugs that don't work in Native ARM mode: Clarity Vx and Clarity Vx Pro plugins require the Rosetta 2 emulator to run and also Cosmos, H-Reverb and IR-1 plugins.......this is reported on the Waves mother site.

- FOR MAC USER - IT WORKS on Monterrey M1

1 - if you have already installed waves go to central and perform a complete waves cleanup.

2 - Delete all waves folders in following locations (if available).

Library>Application Support>Waves
Library>Audio>Plugins>WPAPI (sometimes this thing is left after uninstall)
~Libarary>Application Support> Waves Audio and Waves Central)
Macintosh HD>Users>Shared>Waves

*Also make sure that all VST/VSTT3/AU/AAX Waveshell plugins are removed.

3 - Download latest Waves v13 release "This Release or any Previous one"

4 - Extract and " TURN OFF YOU INTERNET " to block wave central from updating and then install Waves Central.

5 - perform an offline installation by choosing plugins you like to install.

6 - APPLY THE PATCH

7 - Open Terminal and paste following commands,

xattr -cr /Library/Application\ Support/Waves/Modules/WavesLicenseEngine.bundle


sudo codesign --force --deep --sign - /Library/Application\ Support/Waves/Modules/WavesLicenseEngine.bundle


8 - Restart your mac first and run Waves AU Reg Utility and click let's go, it will identify your plugins.

9 - Open your DAW it will automatically scan plugins.
Don't believe 'em when they try to say it's over!

Obviously this release works, both with Intel and Mac M1 but it doesn't have all the new products in fact I'm hoping that soon RET will make a new release. It would be enough for R2R to update its Keygen by adding the latest products and the game would be done also because the engine is always the same and an update should not be needed. Also the problems I encountered with the new version of StudioRack should be due to the lack of a real crack compatible with the ARM architecture. The version of the cracked WavesLicenseEngine used in this release is too old (2016) and therefore absolutely incompatible with M1. I find it hard to believe that there are people who manage to run the latest version of the Waves in native ARM mode with a cracked version of WavesLicenseEngine so outdated.

However, I may have made many mistakes in the configuration phase and therefore I'm not saying that it's not possible. Personally the only way to get everything to work with this patching mode is to boot Logic Pro with Rosetta 2. That's it ...

Hi, thank you very much, I followed your steps and managed to get things working while using Rosetta. Anyway, on Logic Pro 10.7.3, now the mono to stereo plugins don't work at all. Has anyone noticed something like this and found a way to fix it?

More or less everything works on Mac Mojave. StudioRack v.13 has a strange behavior: as soon as it's launched no plug-ins appears in its internal list but then if you select a presets instead the pug-ins load normally. Need an updated version of RET with the help of R2R for the updated keygen. Tranks anyway....!

Does it work only in Rosetta mode (Logic Pro in Rosetta)?
Then this release isn't for me.
I waited 1 year and 8 months or so for Softube to release M1 Native versions (I have almost all of them).
Spitfire Audio plugin doesn't work in Rosetta mode.
So I won't use Logic Pro X in Rosetta mode...
So... Waves... probably the biggest plugin manufacturer... isn't up to date?
