what is TUBA and TUPRE based on ? I know Kolin is the Collins Vari-MU compressor.

On - in fact " in " - the original - attack and release are safely hidden in the chassis :

wow, didn't know this one. never knew it would be dangerous as well. thank you. anyway I don't think that is much point for the att/rel control for an older vari-mu design, rather let the tubes do its thing, just control the input/output.

Also older design is not known for their stability I think one twist of a knob will easily ruin the unit calibration and need to send it to technician. lol. maybe that's why the stamp it at factory.

how much is the price for this one these days ? could it be in the same range as the 660/670?

At this point, I would stay away from vintages, it's like having another wife, hard to handle. lol.

For 3k I'll go for the Retro Inst STA-LEVEL, love the Arturia's plugin, maybe can get the "reissue" one day.
