I have an s49 mk2 kontroller, i was wondering if i can get it to work with the cracked programs

So I managed to figure out how to circumvent the errors previously mentioned in the comments. It is somewhat tricky but totally possible so let's do some hacking!

Error 1: Standalone - "can't be opened"
Solution: You may need to give the app execute permissions and prevent gatekeeper from blocking the launch.

1. Right-click the .app and 'show package contents'
2. Inside 'contents' expand MacOS folder
3. open terminal and type: chmod +x
4. after 'x' leave a space and just drag and drop 'Komplete Kontrol' file from previous folder (MacOS) onto the Terminal window. That should insert the correct file path after the chmod command. Press enter and don't fret, you will not see any results yet. In Finder, press back until you exit the contents view and see the komplete kontrol.app file itself.
5. In Terminal, type: sudo xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine
6. Again, leave a blank space and drag-n-drop the .app file onto Terminal to paste the filepath. Run the command and enter your admin pass. The KK app should now be executable.
(7. You may need to repeat <chmod +x> for any additional unix executable inside the .app package if you run into any other errors in the future, not quite sure how it works. Trial and error.)

Error 2: AU validation crash in Logic Pro
For this error, it is most likely a code signature mismatch that causes a crash at plug-in validation stage. (You can examine the crash report).
Solution: Re-codesign the plugin file yourself (or disable SIP).

1. Go to Google and search for how to create a self-signed certificate for code signing on Mac. Follow the instructions and sign the <komplete kontrol.component> (or VST) in your plugins folder.
EDIT:
2. Alternatively you can disable system integrity protection (google it).
To do that, shut down your Mac, then hold <command-R> as you reboot, til you see the logo. After it finishes loading, choose your language and on the next page, find the menu bar and go to Utilities>Terminal.
In terminal type the command: csrutil disable
Press enter and reboot.
Ps. you can always re-enable SIP the same way by <csrutil enable>

3. Enjoy the feeling when the effort pays off and go make some music.

Since Ableton does support AU, you're good to go as long as you load plugins in au format. If you want to use VST, I assume you'd repeat the second error part, this time for the VST file. Alternatively, you can just disable System Integrity Protection (SIP, a systemwide security measure in MacOS). That would save you the hassle of tampering with signatures. In fact, it's much easier and as a pirate, it's probably better to do that anyway to save yourself a lot of headache in the future ;). I'll edit my first post with the instructions.

Btw these are just my own findings and might not be the final solution for anyone else. As I actually own the legit Komplete hard- and software, I can't know for sure you won't run into any dependency issues whatnot. I did this for a roommate and for now it looks to be working just fine for the dude (I'll probably never get my controller back now ).

One thing - I couldn’t get the previews feature to work. It says you got to connect to NI Access. But what does that do update the firmware or update Komplete Kontrol? Do you have this function?

Previews are separately installed by native access. Which product previews are you talking about? I own legit copies of several plugins so the previews download automatically. I've also got some pirated libraries with working previews. I think it comes down to whether a release group provides preview files (I've seen an option to enable Komplete Kontrol integration in some installers, it might be the preview files?) or not.

But go ahead and try running native access. It doesn't automatically break your illegal installs, nor does it update any firmwares. It might show you that a certain pirated plugin is in "demo" mode but you don't have to touch it. Maybe you'll still get to download the previews somehow.

Thanks for the info. That all makes sense. Like you I have mix of libraries. I think the preview thing is a relatively new thing. I have run Native Access but I’m not sure it made a difference but maybe I didn’t investigate too many libraries. Once again many thanks for your knowledge.

Hey guys... just saw a post about Maschine and thought I would try it on the Komplete Kontrol and it fixed the AU crashing in logic !

sudo codesign -f -s - /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Maschine\ 2.component

Replace Machine with Komplete Kontrol... no more crashing on validation (at least for me on mojave)

does anybody have an idea how to make it possible to load kontakt librarys (from the kontakt portable version) from the maschine / kompelte kontrol library tab?

i did add the kontakt libraries via the "Add Library.exe" ..and now there are the thumbnails in maschine / komplete kontrol library tab (i mean the libraries that only where copied and not installed) ..but i can't load'em..says "cannot load plugin" ...but it's only for the kontakt libraries. Things like Reaktor, Massive etc. can be loaded without problems.

Maybe it's because i'm using the Kontakt portable version? i really like this one...think i have to register it in anyway ..but how to?

Using Windows 10.

Appriciate any kind of help :)

Check that your kontakt .EXE is in the plugins search path in Komplete Kontrol.

I find that some Kontakt libraries will load no problem in KK (most do), a few don't. Such as Native Instruments Noire. I have to call up Kontakt first (in KK) and drag Noire on to it (In Windows 10 ... on my Macbook, it works fine).
