Sonic Projects OP-X Blue 2.1 (Reaktor 5 ensemble version) screenshot

This ensemble should work on pretty early versions of Reaktor 5 since it's a 2006 release (Reaktor 5 was released in 2005).


OP-X is the faithfull emulation of the famous OB-X. Awesome sounding analog synthesis using separate voice design.

I have the same problem, it seems that we have to wait till someone share the 1.1 update (already released for buyers). The list of fixes is encouraging:

List of fixed issues:

Ableton Live 8: Crash when looping.
Ableton Live 8: Crash when jumping around in timeline.
FL Studio 10: No sound in wrapper.
Bank load button not working properly.
Problems with some windows system drivers (MME/Direct-X).
Problems with some USB and Firewire interface drivers.
CPU load rises to maximum although it's a modern CPU.
Not working in NI Kore 2.
Not working in NI Maschine.
Possible issues in Reaper.
Possible issues in Sonar 8.5.
Possible conflict with Yellow Tools Halls of Fame Origami.

Ah, and the 1.0 version (as the 1.1) is not cracked, but activated with a keygen by AIR. The problem resides in the original VSTI.

I made a simple copy/paste from the Sonic Projects website, I forgot to check every line, sorry :). The claim of "huge library" refers to version 2.0 of the ensemble and the VSTI. You can download some banks (not included in the library) from SP website, but, still, they are for the 2.0 version only (at least it's what it's written in the page).

Only 54 patch in this enssemble.
But in any way many thank U p3k1n0! Really cool synth! Very miss about it on Mac.

For me when on windows OpX II also crashes x86 Ableton 8, but work smoothly via jBridge on x64 Ableton 9. Magic!

It's a great synth. I've been trying to get the updated Reaktor ensemble or the 1.1 version of the OP-X II VST but so far no luck. Truly excellent Oberheim emulation.

There is latest Reactor ensemble 2.3 but it cutted with functionality, although I make it work without bleeps it is not that synth that Win users have.

Listen to comparison files, all three versions of one type of sound are DIFFERENT (original analog Oberheim, reaktor5 version, vsti version)...so VSTi and Reaktor5 versions are very different

I have OP-X PRO-I ver.1.1 (2008) and OP-X PRO-II ver.1.0,(2011)
I see no difference, because I don't use them because of crashes, but they are on my PC, but I have to say that it is very cool analog-emulated synth...
I like as well: Poly-Ana, Arturia Collection, KORG Collection, d16 stuff, Roland plug-out stuff, u-he DIVA/ACE, TAL (Togu Audio Line), LittleOne, impOSCar2, Oddity, MEMORYMOON synths, MANX stuff, XILS-lab synths

Absolutely agree with Your list!
From my side i advice another FREE Oberheim recreation which is absolutely must have for every musicmaker!
It sounds cool but bit differ from SonicProjects and Arturia. All them sound different. IMHO Win version from SonicProjects is the best!

For me, the old air release (32 bit) of v1 works fine, and v2 (32 bit) works ok in FL9 (windows 7 here), but not in FL11 (no sound at all). And yes, the free one pointed out by Alexey is brilliant!! Check it if you haven't yet!

FL Studio 11 (x86 / x64):

Open step sequencer and insert OP-X Pro / OP-X Pro II. Go to "Wrapping settings" > "Processing options". Check "Use fixed size buffers" and confirm the warning message.

Now go to "Info" (also in the wrapping settings). You may see a red colored text: "The plugin was disabled because of an error durring processing". Click the "Reset plugin" button and wait a few seconds while the plugin reloads itself.

Everything should be fine now ...

I can't exactly remember the steps in FL Studio 12, because I just tried it out and uninstalled it already, But the plugin was also working. I think i fixed it the same way.

To me, the OP-X PRO is most, most excellent but I cannot for the life of me get it going in FLS 11, but the others are all very cool. Wish I knew what to do to get the PRO functioning.
