I decided to take the time out to take all of the Access Virus TI wavetables (all 99, completely unaltered, preserved and compared with the signal coming out of the Virus, I ensure you they sound pretty much identical.) I also cut up the single cycles for the classic waveforms which are found on the other Virus models as well. I might do some Acid and FM stuff in it and give you guys the WTs here later."

Not missing him, but hopefully there were UL links. I dont feel safe using Mega, and it's slow compare to UL premium connection.

well it seems in posting these wavetables that I get from the serum forum, I am once again blocked from that site. I am tired of Steve doing this crap. The forum members freely post these and I just transfer them here, that in no way is in violation of any infringement yet he once again revokes my access. All I have to say to you Steve is that you are wrong, once again, and there are other members on this site who have access to your oh so special forum and stuff will get posted here anyways. I truly don't see the problem with posting here the same things people post on the serum forum, everything is open source and free. Are you losing customers and purchases due to members such as myself and laplace, not to name a couple others, that share FREE wavetables with other communities? Thanks for taking away my access not only to the serum forum, but to the lfotool forum as well. I'll survive so no worries there.

oh it's his forum so he can do what he wants, illegitimately, you sound like a dictator man. I don't think you understand infringement, things have to be copyright or trademarked first to even use that term, so what I am doing is freely using open source material, so eat it. You don't think I have mailed him? He will play this game and you are right it's his forum, i'm not going to go to the plugin police to report him, as long as people know what he's doing wrong i'm fine with that.

exactly. A forum on the web is anything but a democratic place. It's pure 100% certified nepotism and egos. You don't have a right to speak there, you're granted a privilege to do so.

nope. The author decide, it's intellectual property BEFORE copyright or DMCA or whatever, and by default, it is resticted (at least in my country (.Fr)) even if it's not specified.

The author's choice again, if an "opensource" license isn't clearly specified (CC, GPL, ...) it isn't. You found some file on a closed forum; it doesn't mean you're free to do w/e you want with it. You choose to still do it, that's fine, but don't rant on the guy legimitimately (trying to) protect[ing] his customers and his business.

let me say he's doing ok right from my point of view. no matter how much nonsense and urban legends (FoS on forums, and opensourceness) you can stack up to justify it.

That being said , it might be a bit overkill to ban you (as a customer) from the forum without prior notice.

DJ actually went on strike with a bunch of people when Serum was cracked early by someone so it was especially overkill in light of the fact that he's being accused of something that he not only didn't do but actually took an adamant stand against and losing access to something that he legitimately paid for. Besides that it won't matter because someone else will just post them. So in my view it's just tarnishing the developer's reputation more than it's accomplishing any positive outcome.

the only way to have access is to purchase serum, which I did, and he accuses me of cracking, releasing and distributing serum in the first place, which I had no part in. That is why I got revoked the first time. And yes my registered email is quite similar and some would say that's not smart but honestly it shouldn't matter if I am doing nothing wrong instead of trying to be secretive. If anything, by posting wavetables and serum stuff it's creating more exposure for people to actually purchase. I have supported purchasing Serum and other dev products before but this is how I am treated, revoked from their website even as a legitimate cusotmer. I would never ask for my money back because I truly believe in buying things that I use in my day to day productions. It still creates a bad image on him and now I hope everyone sees that.

Read them from the hardware ROM chips or sample them with ?? resolution / accuracy?

just recorded from Virus (with usb there's no DAC involved) apart from possible dithering from DAW it should pretty damn close to the right signal (for the recorded note). the phase of the waveform should line up with Serum's resolution (root being a F#0+few cents)
