A technical question: CRX4 GUI has 198 pngs. Do you change all of them at once? Cook, would you please so kind to tell me which tool you use on Mac? Thanks!

The AU v4.0 has png's numbered from 00050 to 00198. Sometimes the VST has more or less, but it depends on the release version. Mostly i have to modify each PNG separately - I use Adobe Photoshop with some filter plug-ins like from NiK Software.

The colors are indeed a matter of taste – I too tend to prefer warm, glowing colors. I think developers are doing their "mass products" too often using just boring colors of lead. But i understand that product designers are often NOT good artists - who often break conventions.

I just wondering why you can't make a separate section/blog for such things?
Just to keep the main page clean.

u should spend more time making real skins friend ...its quite an easy job what you do and i guess if someone wants can do the same as you ...real skins, not recolors ;) ...oh an btw, you do not create these for seeing ppl thank you and ''its so nice, wow OMG '' etc ... not everybody likes what you like, so let them say theirs ...dont wanna offend you somehow but just my 3 cents ...

@ Virusg – Making so-called "real skins" as you say would take too much time! Developers can pay a specialist to design every single knob + fader etc. I just do those "re-colorations" for myself, then i share them. So people can pick up what they like.

Fact is: You don't see many skins or re-colorations on the entire www, so i suppose not many people do it & share!
