Cabinets:
The OwnHammer Rock-Box cabinets are proprietary enclosures, designed and built in-house singularly for impulse response capture and towards multiple sound design goals: to maximize fidelity and musicality for use in a broad range of styles and applications, to provide a tone that is both something familiar and something new, and to exude a neutrality that allows the individuality of different speakers, guitars, pickups, amps, and playing nuances to shine through unencumbered. Various unique construction choices were implemented to accomplish this complex requirement set to outstanding result, providing a tone with clean low end, magical midrange, smooth high end, and incredible note clarity across the entire spectrum.

Speaker:
Based on and seeking to recreate the sound of:
• Make: Celestion
• Model: G12V (T3897)
• Diameter: 12 inches
• Year: 2001 (07ML)
• Impedance: 16 ohm
• Fs: 55 Hz (444 cone)

Based on 16 ohm Celestion Marshall Vintage speakers loaded into our Rock-Box cabinets, the combination is something that at times defies logic. It's smooth on the top yet it's detailed. It's forward yet it's girthy. It snarls in the upper mids yet it's never pinched, nasal, or harsh. It has great body in the lower mids yet it's never wooly or muddy. The low end punches with authority yet it is controlled and tight. It's great for the heaviest and the cleanest of tones. This is something that no matter your music style, you need in your tone arsenal. The density of sound, with everything you'd want in a guitar tone and nothing you don't, feels meticulously calculated, yet it's completely natural and organic. This collection will stand the test of time. You owe it to yourself to pick this one up and just lose yourself in your instrument and your music.

The Marshall G12 Vintage is proprietary Marshall-only model T3897, raw silver frame, made by Celestion in England for Marshall, OEM. It never actually has Vintage "30" printed on the magnet sticker, just "Vintage". This is the first, earliest, longest-running, and original V30, initially designed and released in 1986 for use in some Marshall amps and cabs, before Mesa and Celestion ever had their own custom voicings later on in the 90's. If you're hearing a V30 tone on a recording made before 1990, it's these speakers. They were originally designed to sound almost like an AlNiCo speaker, but using a large ceramic magnet, sort of a cross between a Celestion Blue and a G12H30.

Had some time to play with this earlier today, amp sim of choice was Softube AmpRoom with 1959 Super Lead on Low Gain mode slightly pushed with TS9 straight out to IR loader plugin. Managed to get a pretty epic sound combining this IR with OwnHammer RockBox G12H30 (the free pack) both hard panned with 0 EQ 0 nothing. Just the "Summary" single IR from both pack hard panned. Already perfect.
