Roland SC-8850 Map for ZENOLOGY screenshot
bin | 81.63 KB
After making the SC-55 soundbank, it was only natural that i would end up making one for the SC-8850.

Some bits of warning:

- This is not meant to be a 1:1 recreation of the original. Moreover, one should see this as an "updated" version of the original sounds.

- A handful of presets are omitted due to some of the waveforms being exclusive to the SC-8850 (Most notably, the choir/vocals.)

- Furthermore, ZENOLOGY does not share all the exact same waveforms as the SC-8850. As a consequence, some sounds are quite dissimilar.

To use the sounds, drag & drop the bin & svz file in :
C>Users>Your computer's name>AppData>local>RolandCloud>ZENOLOGY

For Mac users:
/Library/Application Support/Roland/ZENOLOGY

Or you can import them directly from the VST.

Not showing up in Zenology with the method that's adviced. And no .svz files in the pack

Works for me with the drag & drop method. The banks show up at the bottom of the list.

Just with the .bin files?

I only get .bin files and cannot see how to import the sounds.

Copy and paste the bin files to C:\Users\YOUR NAME\AppData\Local\Roland Cloud\ZENOLOGY

Then open Zenology. They should be visible at the very bottom in the browse section

They're not showing for me either. I'm on a Mac. Tried placing them in both library folders.

I don't think this can work without the svz file.
