"Unexpected end of archive" error from Rapidgator; however Uploaded file is fine

Is there a special directory to extract these to, or does it not matter where I store them?

just unpack somewhere and then navigate with the import/open feature in the plugins.

It was the main Rapidgator link, not tried the mirrors. Tried it 4 times and returned the same error each time when opening. But like I said, Uploaded is fine!

Don't worry, I've heard many mentioning issues with Rapidgator. I have Real-Debrid browser extension and that often doesn't pick up the RG links at first, yet other times it does. Weird

these are old roms made avialabe for teh cloud versions. So extra sounds.

No matter where you want to store them, once you load them once the jv-1080 will recognise, one and done kind of job. Same goes for all the roland cloud stuff.

As an owner of JV-1010 that has the Session board built-in but with an added Vintage Synth card, I am really happy I now have access to all those sounds in the box.

For Windows, copy the files manually to the appropriate 'Patch' folders

eg.

c:\Program Files\Roland VS\JV-1080\Patch
c:\Program Files\Roland VS\SRX KEYBOARDS\Patch
etc

You will have to do this with administrator access

Some may already be there in original banks.

I had made an error when loading causing some duplicate banks, but they are easy enough to delete with the Bank button, select the bank, then Delete button.

The way I do it, open the Synth in DAW, then select "Bank", and "Load", select all the bin files in the folder for that synth. It will then load in the synth and being kept there.

The folder where the bin files are kept is C:/Program Data/Roland Cloud

If you copy the bin files straight to that folder, when you open the synth it will not load the patches/bank but it will convert the bin files to bak files.

If you do as Wuzzle suggests, and have already placed them in the Program Files folder, doing this will create duplicates ...
If you manually place them in their respective folders as Wuzzle said above, you do not need to "Load" them at all. The banks will appear in the list to load.

Not possible. They are .bin files. However, they were probably all converted from sysex .sqx files if you can find those. These bins were likely created by XV series .sqx files. The XV series hardware can be used read JV sysex and then can save XV sysex that can be used to make these .bins.

If you team up with someone who has access to Roland VX Hardware, you can make more of these with sysex patch banks of JV or XV synths. You send someone the .syx, they convert it in hardware to XV sysex and then you use a python script to store than info in a Roland Cloud .bin file.
