All virus patches are backward and forward comparable. Backwards you will loose some stuff, if I recall correctly for my VirusB, I will loose all the Wavetable settings, other than that they will all play...

As a matter of fact, if you do a comparison between the structure of the VirusB and The VirusTI2, you will find the TI-range lost some of the 'analog' feel, sounding more metallic...
BUT that is to say you can hear the difference between a Chibson and a Gibson - My ears are too old to notice any difference, and if you can hear it, you are but a child :)
