The Silverbird live preamble

What is Silverbird live ?
Silverbird live is a concept based on two ideas: producing dance music with a powerful tool on an easy way and performing this work live in clubs or wherever you want. You are able to use it in studio-environments as well as working stand-alone in Reaktor!

Two modes are available in the new Silverbird live ensemble:

The A-View is the place for drum editing and producing. Here you create beats and grooves easily and save them as snapshots. It does nЂt matter if you want to work with the on-board sequencers or with external midi-devices. For more flexibility Silverbird live comes with an audio routing management that allows you to process single tracks with external audio devices.

The B-View is a special feature for live performing and tempo-synced snapshot management. Here you will find all useful parameters and effects to perform your live set in a new way! You will rock the crowd....

To keep the file size moderate and in order to prevent copyright problems, Silverbird live`s sound is based on a small selection of 24bit-samples we exclusively made for this machine! Drums and sounds were designed with different hard- and software synthesizers, edited and processed with audio processors for a better sound and punch. To flower out Silverbird live`s massive potential, we recommend the use of professional designed commercial sample libraries.

Silverbird live is equipped with different snapshots, ready to use and being edited live!
Using the random-function will create new and different results based on the factory snapshots. Caused by the complex structure and the possibilities of silverbird you should use a computer equipped with a contemporary CPU. An external midi controller is recommended for performing live.

Silverbird live requires Reaktor 5.5.1 or newer.
We made this ensemble for using it in different setups and we hope you will enjoy this groove workstation on the same way we do.

Don't knock it until you try it, just because it is free dont mean nothing. Just look at the Reaktor User database online, everything there is free and there are some really good plugins to try out.

"CHORTLE" - When I was but an Innocent Youngster, I used to get a Kids Comic called The BEANO. Chortle, along with "GUFFAW" were the words used to indicate a snigger, giggle or other such "Hehehehe" laugh. It just perfectly described the sound I emitted upon first seeing the GUI.

you can do better with the Massive Reaktor Ensemble, if you want some Reaktor groovebox like ;)
And it looks like it sounds : massive :D

As by judging a book by it's cover, i learned by years of music making that i NEVER use crappy looking AND/OR bad GUI plugins...never.Even if i try them on and on.
It totally mess my inspiration to get by 10 menus to tweak something or to look at a crappy 80's software interface (like Protools rofl) for hours.

This is not because an ugly woman is very hot that you will an erection.

once you understood how it works it's one of the most amazing .ens for all kinda electronic genres, by twiddling a few knobs you immediately have a sketch of a minimal-, or house- or techo-house- or techno-tune, even for elektro it's perfect: the included samples are topnotch and the Gui is easy and especially on the b-view you can jam around for hours and will understand why this is a perfect tool for playin' live. the original version of silverbird was already exciting but this one is as nearly as cool as 'limelite'. the snapshots already give a good overview what this lil' gem is cabable of: for sure, if you don't invest any thoughts and just use presets and/or sample-cds, that's nothing for you, then you maybe should stay with the magic music maker version 1.0 ;-)

WOW I dont know if people realy test this thing or if they dont have any knowledge about Reaktor and about making their OWN musik

At first there are many exclusive features in this Ensemble:
Snapshot manager, mixing the frozen (RAM) sound with the sound of the ensemble in realtime,
copy and paste from any sequencer to ANY sequencer (doesnt matter if bipolar or not),
a GOOD random function,
and more....... As I know there is no other Ensemble in Reaktor with this features !!!

The sound is samplebased and in high quallity (44100/24).As I know there are not many
Ensembles with so many free samples to use.So I think it is a good work if developers make
such a hard work for the sounddesign-for free

The GUI is simple but the developers made their own knobs and stuff...
So for me it is allways better than the reaktor look.

I think maybe it is realy better for some people to use
Musik Maker if they dont know when a girl is hot....

Silverbird is great !
