Since this doesn't come with the ISO/installer, how to properly place (install) it to make it appear at the Maschine factory expansion location like all the installed ones ? Placing it on the user folder create a lot of problems.

1. no preview
2. an error message "Backyard Jams Library not properly installed"
3. samples missing error message and have to manually locate EACH sample and i noticed the library still has "previous" user location information.
Any help is much appreciated, thanks.

UPDATE:
Finally manage to make it work, all the kits, everything minus the thumbnail images. Just want to share the workaround, if anyone interested. For windows user only.

1. Open regedit, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Native Instruments\Backyard Jam
2. right click ContentDir, modify add location of the library.
3. Add new string, rename it to ContentVersion, set to 1.0.0 (apparently it is optional, you don't have to)
4. done close regedit.
5. go back to the folder, rename all the "previews" folder to ".previews" one by one, total 8 places/folders. Inside the "Group -> Kits" folder and inside the "Sounds" folder, for each individual folder inside it there's a "previews" folder.

renaming the folder also fixed other EXP that don't have preview sound, Crate Cuts.
It makes no sense to say you’re not good at it. It’s like saying, “I’m not good at being a monk.” You are either living as a monk or you’re not.

if you go to native access once you install it properly using the plist method, you should see a nice image you can screenshot. Resize it properly and you should be good.
Opinions are like mixtapes, i dont want to hear yours.

I've yet to learn how the "plist method" works, I saw people talking bout it in AS but couldn't find the exact thread, do you know where i can learn it ? thanks

EDIT : found something from this link : Native Browser Preview Library

I guess add the location to the regedit later should work. Hopefully.

This is for Mac only.
1. Go to Library/preferences you will see all your .plist files.
2. Copy 1 of your iso installed Maschine expansions to your desk top (ex amplified funk) 3. Rename it to Backyard Jams
4. Open it with a program called Plist Edit Pro
5. Change where it says "String : " to Users/Shared/Backyard Jams Library ( or where you decided to store the expansion )
6. Save and put it back where the rest of the plist files are.
The expansion will now show up on your Maschine browser.

Will this make the preview work?

To make previews work, just add a period (.) in front of the "previews" folder.

Is there any way to display thumbnail images?
  Resident 10.09.2018 1 626

Yes!

I've managed to get it to work!
Also the previews work, not at first, but after a tiny modification it did.
So everything works smooth as it should.
I've only used a different font: "Impact", I love this font!

Pauluz, thank you so much! I've repaired it!

I simply changed the folder's name you gave me to lowercase and then copied it to the folder "Shared/NI Resources/images".

'cause ISO was not provided, may be ...?
And some members know how to make it work without ISO anyways.

Ok, apologize for my rant. Of course, I should have thought it was a download.
Thnx for the upload

@itaudio For some reason NI changed the way their downloader works, it's setup to automatically delete the ISO after it downloads/installs the file. There is a permissions technique to prevent Windows from allowing the ISO to be deleted, but I think a lot of people have overlooked it. (Check my post below for the details.)

Here are the instructions for Windows 10. I tried to explain in clear detail and included a reference image. This takes less than 1 minute to setup.

5. now need a way to make other presets (MONARK, MASSIVE), sound preview work and thumb image.

Hopefully the friend Bobdule provides the solution with an emulator, as with Body Mechanik, it was perfect.

I'm on MAC and the preview & images doesn't work.. Any idea how to have it work?

Have fixing the images (just use another expansion images and edit them, some work) but not the preview.

I appreciate the effort, but an ISO would be so much easier and more understandable.... I just can't get my head around this method of installation at all sadly.

I got mine working on Win7 64bit...had to rename the "Previews" folders via command line and it took several attempts of loading Maschine before it finally added...no fancy image but the end result is it works....Thanks to Olymoon and those that contributed their input in the comments.
