That's the thing with every single preset and/or patch you can get out there. You can make your own Serum, Sylenth1 or whatever patch but that can take up some time. You can make every single rhythmic midi files there is because it's easy and then you save it, right. These are facts and I agree with you. It's easy to do.

But what if you have a physical or metal condition and you know or don't know what kind of beat/tune you like to lay down. You can fiddle around like a minute with a hihat track that normally is done in 5 to 10 seconds or even a bit less thanks to useful tools, Ableton 12 (greatest update ever in history of Ableton Live if you ask me) and/or great workflows like the one MPC's got. it really can take a person much longer but that person still want to put his/hers creativity into something. These kind of files can help achieve that. I know because I also have my days where putting 1/8th, 1/16th, 1/whatsoever can be intensely tiresome and midi files are great for those days. Drag, drop, finish, Believe me, it can really help ;).

There are also people that like the easy way without having a disability. They like to lay down a basic layer and finetune the rest later. So much possibilities, so much reasons. Easy does it. Just my 2 pennies.

I try this one for the "not so great days but still want to do something with the MPC in bed" bedroom producer days, so thanks for sharing LDVN .

I get where you're coming from but there's times when you don't feel your patterns are working and need outside inspiration or when you're in the studio in crunch time and need something quick, having some midi available out of convenience would certainly be helpful. This is no different than buying a simple loop from splice or a ready made grilled cheese sandwich at the fast food.
