This Akai image isn't corrupt , only unreadable for OSX or Windows.
To open the image and convert the AKAI formated sounds i use Translator 6 from Chicken Systems! ;)

It's not corrupt.. just unreadable in WIndows explorer

1. mount in daemon tools (for example)
2. open kontakt
3. highlight the akai disk
4. click "import" in kontakt
5. create a folder for the instruments
6. create a subfolder for the samples
7. in the import dialogue, click convert

when completed you now have Windows compatible folders
with Kontakt loadable instruments...

there is still some weird behavior I have not found the reason for
such as the low note samples are panned left... and the high note samples are panned right
middle notes play in the center... testing if this occurs in other akai

if any Kontakt guru knows why this happens, and how to get all the notes to play in the
center, i.e. unpanned.. do tell !
