Ok, now that you have stated it now Olymoon, I get it...If it's Kontakt the uploaders can upload with no accountability. It's up to the members to fix any issue with it or just move on. Seems like sound reasoning.

I didnt started anything, you are attacking posters and contributors, I have to answer as a member and as a mod.

They can upload something that works, hopefully for all platforms, but if not, like in many cases here, we look for the solution together. And most of the times, we find it, if members participate in the research instead of being demanding.

Dont fotget that you are enjoying others effort for free.
It's a community service, not a customer service.
So respect is basic.

Just that when they do the owness is on the members to find a solution. No problem. I get It I said. How was that disrespectful?

I can say this I am in total agreement with enjoying others effort for free and other stuff free.
Sometimes I comment when stuff does not work in hopes that they fix it. but I never get mad. Lets remember if i download 10 and 9 are good what am I bitching about.

Thank you for trying to help, Sunsum! In my case though, it wouldn't work.
When I add Altron in Kontakt 5 app, a plist file is created in root/library/Preferences. So I guess I don't need to make an own file. But still Altron does not show up in Kontakt 6.
I already openend the nicnt file and recognized that the SNPID was already in my list of used SNPIDs. So I changed it to a number that was not in the list and tried to add the library again after deleting the plist file. Still no luck. :(

After being unsuccessful with what I did, I did try Sunsum's exact method. I did not work for me. And with all respect to SunSum's creativity and willingness to help, I don't actually know how this should work for anyone.
For example, the plist file he is talking of contains the exact path to the library. If you take a plist file from another library, this path is totally different and has nothing to do with the path to Altron. Anyway, I deleted a library from Kontakt and renamed the plist file to com.native.instruments.Altron.plist. No success. Then I changed the directory path in the plist file. Still no success. Also, I repeat, I can't imagine that only changing the name of a plist file will suddenly make this library appear in Kontakt. This is simply not possible.
I guess there must be another reason why Sunsum was successful in the end. His method cannot work the way he described it. Let's ask the others: Did anyone have success with his method?

Exactly. Then you open kontakt 6 and library appears but ask for locate library or not?
In these moment kontakt must created de plist in your user/library/preferences
Or neither?
If kontakt create it you need move and replace for fake plist, and then you need add Now in 5.6 again

Unfortunately it does not ask me to locate the library. And it does not create a plist file in user/library/preferences. I might test your other method using wine or crossover though.

Anyway, another method that you can try and that worked for me another times is this from invincible. i copied from a post in Kontakt:

My method of adding libs using wine(i use crossover and works too)

Open the Kontakt v5.6.0 and just try to add a library and close it.

Download the "Add Library.exe" from the following link (Same as the one which is supplied with WiN releases).

Run it using Wine.
Then choose the root folder of your kontakt libraries (you can also add libraries in specific folders one by one by repeated running the "Add Library.exe" using wine)

Then go to
"/Users/<user_name>/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Common Files/Native Instruments/Service Center/"

Copy all the "lib_name.xml" files and paste them to
"/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Service Center/"

EDIT: Unfortunately now I'm running into another problem:
No matter which instrument I choose, I always get this: This instrument belongs to a library that is currently not installed.
And the instrument will not be opened.


Okay, this method finally worked for me!!
Though you forgot to mention that I need to add the library in Kontakt 5 again after copying the XML file.

I'm sorry i though you resolved the issue, but everything that I could do is written. Anyway, if that happens, the only thing that occurs to me is to re-add the library and if it does not work, take the invincible method and replace (not copy) with the generated xml when adding the library with the one you have now. luck
