Samplephonics Dirty Modular KONTAKT screenshot
SYNTHiC4TE | Oct 17 2014 | 6.30 GB
Introducing Dirty Modular, a powerful hybrid modular virtual instrument powered by the Kontakt Free Player.

Under the hood of this beast lies 8,496 pristine audio samples, direct from a real analogue modular synth. These form the bases of 170 multisampled oscillator settings ready to be combined, routed and processed further.

From the front end you are presented with a stunning GUI allowing you to create patches visually using the 3d rendered cables, as well as load and save internal presets at lightening speed and without reloading the main Kontakt instrument.

This stunning instrument is packed full of analogue modelled effects and powerful LFO's, envelopes and an analogue style step sequencer. It is able to create a huge range of sounds, from filthy basses and leads to retro 80's pop to deep melodic pads and everything in between.

We wanted to create something that put detailed raw sounds already at your fingertips, allowing deep and complex sounds to be built easily without fiddling, allowing you to concentrate on what is most important - the music!

Requires Kontakt or Kontakt Player version 5.3.1 or higher

This can be related to Kontakt version.
Once you updated to last version (cracked of course), there is another problem.

Remove the bank from Kontakt (wrench icon)
Exit Kontakt
Update NI Service Center
Add bank again

It should work
I already posted this method on another release.

If it works for you, spread the word

I was getting the error message when trying to load this using the drag and drop method. You need to open kontakt and use the "add library" tab on the top left hand corner and navigate to the dirty modular folder and follow a couple of simple prompts and.......enjoy! Ps make sure you are running version 5.3.1 plus

Did exactly the steps you mentioned but still got the error "This patch is encrypted and cannot be loaded unless the respective Library is registered properly".

Really something new, yet classic. This reminds me about the old golden ARP-SEQ(HW). Finally it's here. Hopefully keeping its promises ;)

"No library found" or "Patch encrypted...bla..bla..." solved by reinstalling Kontakt last Version.

Added and working here: KONTAKT 5.3.1.37. It might help if you add the libraries running KONTAKT as stand-alone.
When I get this one, I'll be able to create something

Although you can't drag cables with the mouse, i'm surprised again what can be done in Kontakt. Nice sounds, nice waveforms and great look. Not as flexible as any better modular synth, but the waveforms compensate for that really well. Great for anyone who wants that "Modular" feeling but doesn't want to spend as much time.

You need full cracked Kontakt. All non legit libs need cracked Kontakt to run. ;)

Grab R2R 5.4.1 from here.

Kontakt is great!

The filters are very good!

So basically - you can sample a synth - (I love Cubase Lover's JD 850) - CL Project's JD 850.

This is a wonderful Kontakt library!

Cubase Lover was a top poster on another warez site and he created some super sounding pad libraries!

Well - with the JD 850 - he sampled every 4 or 5 semi-tones of the best patches on that Roland synth - and he got someone to create a really good GUI.

There is the Volume Envelope section - with ADSR, plus the Filter Envelope section and a bunch of effects (Host BPM delay, chorus, etc).

The raw waveforms are done in 24-bit @ 96khz....they sound really good!

Once you've got that part sorted out properly - you can apply filters - low-pass, high pass, band-pass - and then you can apply velocity to filter (modulation) per note, mod wheel functionality and aftertouch, etc....

This results in beautiful sounding software instruments based on clean, precise samples!

:-)

Which is what we all want!

If you have an analog synth - you can sample the waveforms / oscillators in 24-bit @ 96khz and add Kontakt's filters afterwards which will create a formidable synth instrument!

Yoad Nevo released his Analogue Machines library for Kontakt which was quite good!

Then there's Wave Alchemy's - Pro 2 or Pro II.

Also - Phaedra and Epica (Zero-G) which are quite good also!

Basically - we need good quality oscillator samplers and then we add Kontakt's filters and we've got decent sounding instruments!

:-)

Don't forget - when Depeche Mode were on stage - they would use Moog samples, etc...done with Akai and Emulator 2 (or 3) units....which sounded good enough for 80,000 people in the crowd!

To ppl getting troubles :
-Use last cracked Kontakt version
-Delete lib from Kontakt (wrench icon)
-Update NI Service Center (there is a legit bug related to it)
-Restart K
-Add it again

On the lib itself : try some "Creative Presets" and you will see why it is called "dirty"
Distortion, punch on the attacks. Very nice synth. A lot better than "punchless" Kontakt synths.

56 patches only??? is it just me or is this pretty stiff for 119 quids synth???

150+ presets plus more free presets sent to your inbox!

there are already 170 oscillator presets. So how it could be 56 patches only ?

And another subtlety : it is not a rompler. But a Kontakt synth.
Patches are not "static", you can change settings because Kontakt is used to generate sounds from raw oscillators, not full patches sampled.
This is not your usual Kontakt bank with "fixed" sounds. That's why they are going to send more presets after that release. "Presets", and not "samples" ;)

i know what i saw. 56 "creative" patches only. Oscillator presets? What's that supposed to mean?
And from a marketing guy pov, this is a downer. No matter what ambition you have, it's still risky to put a new synth on the market without enough presets. All vsti that misregarded this fact ended up badly. And third party presets companies only focus on standalone synths like sylenth, massive, spire and not framework synths like kontakt's ones. Even for reaktor synths, there are only a few extra banks available.
Let's not fool ourselves, 99% of soft synths users use presets. Even if they edit them, they still start from presets. Time will tell.

I understand this point
That's why i NEVER understood why Rob Papen synths don't sell more.
I like Albino, Blue, Predator, Suboombass.
They always provide hundreds of very good presets, with no fillers...
You don't need a single third party bank to start in any style.

When Vanguard was selling like hotcakes, Albino was underground. And when you compare them, you see Albino kick Vanguard in the balls soundwise AND possibilities wise.
But ReFX know how to be commercial (see Nexus...).

About this synth, every Kontakt synth i like (see list up) are very confidential.
But may be this one from a better known company will change things...or not

I fully agree. I'm into Trance...well more exactly into Futurepop and Albino, Predator and Blue are among my favorite synths and i've never understood the lack of third party presets for the first two in comparison to the plethora for Sylenth and Massive... I still use Vanguard and Z3ta although a little less now. Spire is very good too and will soon be the new "Sylenth-Massive" IMHO.
Tone2 synths are great as well and they suffer the same problem. Only extra presets come from the programmer himself.
Regarding Nexus and its overused presets, i must say i'm a bit puzzled by the price of the complete serie (all extensions) and the undisputed popularity.
But well, this is one "bread and butter" rompler and it sounds great for most of its sounds although i use it mainly with the free FER Trance presets.

http://dfiles.eu/files/4c7n0f2b4

The Element and Codex synths are very promising too not to mention Xfer Serum.
Last but not least, I use Omnisphere a lot with all the "unfinished " soundbanks that are out of this world. Same goes to Padshop pro, Tremendous granular synth. My go to for pads.

Let me answer this!

LOL

Rob Papen Presets - in my opinion - are too much!

The guy releases hundreds of presets!

Now - Blue 2 - I really liked - but I was blown away and it was "love at first sight!"

This is completely open to discussion...

But - the new "Choir" multi-sample was one of the first things I fell in love with!

But now - after leaving the plugin alone for quite a while - and going back to it about 2 nights ago....I notice that these multi-sampled patches - like the strings and choir - were not that amazing really..

And - even though there is this amazing mod-matrix thing with this crazy LFO shit with circles and dots travelling in strange lines and vectors....the actual synth itself is not that amazing!

Basically - we have a pretty average - FM synth - which sounds like those lack-lustre Concrete-FX synths that were going around before Rob Papen jumped on their bandwagon (following his sex romp with Peter Linnplug!)

To my ears - Blue 2 is just a pretty average FM synth with - some recent additionals - being a multi-sampled choir (which sounds like it was ripped from a Roland JV-1080 or a Korg Triton or something) - although - they "obviously" sampled a real choir - lol!

Or like a bad Hypersonic 2 choir...(I love Hypersonic 2 + Xpand!2 - for real - BTW)...

Albino - was quite good at the time!

But - Rob Papen - again - released some 600 presets with Albino 2.

Too many presets and not enough power in the synths themselves!

I quite liked Albino - as did most of us back in the day!

But there was no need for that HUGE bank of presets...

The digital oscillators were quite static sounding...BUT - the bandpass filters did sound quite creamy - so we got some nice bandpass or notchpass synth pads which were quite ahead of their time for plugins!

Rob then switched to Concrete -FX as his "synth engine" providers....

Basically - Rob Papen is a "brand name" - like George Foreman is to grills - he is to synthesis!

I don't remember him EVER being famous - I had to find him on YouTube - and he was some - number 80 in the Dutch charts - real piss-poor version of OMD or Kraftwerk - that never made it...LOL.....

So he made a million and one presets for some average synths!

Then he started his own software ventures - by jumping onto other peoples' products....and designing a million and one presets for each one!

They are NOTHING SPECIAL!

Not innovative!

Linnplug - SUCKS in my mind!

You know _ I love BigTone presets, etc...

BigTone asked Linnplug - "Please add this to your Alpha synth - free version - and add some filter envelope / add some XXX features" - which Pete complied with - and BigTone made some "okay" sounding presets with these features...

So - we have a "nice" sounding freeware of Alpha 3 - but the ACTUAL VERSION of Alpha 3 sounds shit...
