Listen to this wonderful brazilian music gender named "chorinho" played on a pure "cavaquinho" by "Waldir Azevedo" and compare with the wonder "Israel Kamakawiwo'ole" playing the Ukulele.

Cavaco, or it's diminutive form: little cavaco. Suffix "inho" dim.masc.form = Pt.Es: cavaquinho ; German cavacolein ; Fr. Petit cavaco. It sounds like the higher notes of an Ac. Guitar on the third octave and has an agressive timbre. Tuning from botton note: middle D4-G4-B4-D5, remembering "woodpecker song" initial melody.

Ukulele means literally leaping flea," from uku "louse, flea, Gr. Flo" + lele "to fly or jump, leap." (Gr.Flohsprünge), It sounds like an Ac. Guitar from it's second to the third last octaves. Soprano tuning from the botton 4th string: G3-C4-E4-A4. The 4th string is the same G3 of the Violin.
The intervals between the strings are the same of the highest four notes of an Ac. Guitar, but, a Perfect Fourth above, so, you can dive many guitar chords you known. It has a very smooth timbre compared to cavaquinho.

By the way, this small pack is real cavaquinho chords only, there's no solo notes. You must use bouncing octaves to play conected smooth chords.
