Audiobro LA Scoring Strings 2.0 - unofficial 16bit version | 9.34GB
Starting from version 2.0, Audiobro stopped supplying 16bit samples and replaced them with 24bit only. In this instace, 24bit is a waste of space, since all samples are normalized and their noise level is far above -90dBFS.

So I made myself this 16bit version and hopefully not just for myself.
16bit samples were taken from previous LASS release, compressed, converted and resaved for use with 2.0 patches. That alone took 18 hours since Kontakt file management engine is not optimized for multicore processors

This is 24bit sample:

As you can see, no big difference. There's faint residue of ATH noise shaping at the end of the spectrum, but that is above 18kHz, so not a problem. Also it's just 10dB difference.
The advantages of 16bit in this case outweigh the extra 10dB at 20kHz:
- Lower RAM requirements
- Takes up less HDD space (9.5GB vs 15GB)
- More CPU efficient

Decide for yourself if you prefer 16bit or 24bit.

Yes, this comes with ARC - it replaces 24bit version in full with scripts and documentation. I didn't say I normalize the samples - Audiobro did it.
There's no volume difference b/w 16bit and 24bit - they normalized both.

No, they should be on the first level. No problems here on K5.4.1 Win7 x64
Check if you're pointing to the correct directory, perhaps if you had LASS registered before, try removing its xml file in Common Files\Native Instruments and re-add the library again.

Don't think i had Bro on this machine...no evidence of its xml in common.

It should work with all Kontakt versions above 5.0.3 - I used that version to ensure compatibility with all OSes - WinXP, Vista, 7, OSX 10.7, ...

Were any close mics used and can any of the instruments be used (and extracted) for fast runs and is there a possibility of polyphonic playing? Also, are there restrictions in mega downloads?

LASS responds very fast, so it's quite suitable for fast playing styles.
There are no additional microphone positions, just one.
Polyphonic playing is achieved by unloading/turning off legato.
MEGA is virtually unrestricted, that's why I used it - the second reason being I don't have RG account and site rules allows only MEGA as alternative.

When i try to load instrument to kontact an error that reads this patch is encrypted and cannot be loaded unless the respective library is registered properly..help please lol

you have to add library within kontakt and browse for folder, not just quickload

Once added, you can remove it from library tab if it takes too much space. The HU and JDX encryption keys stays safely in the registry.
