Starting from version 2.0, Audiobro stopped supplying 16bit samples and replaced them with 24bit only. In this instace, 24bit is a waste of space, since all samples are normalized and their noise level is far above -90dBFS.

So I made myself this 16bit version and hopefully not just for myself.
16bit samples were taken from previous LASS release, compressed, converted and resaved for use with 2.0 patches. That alone took 18 hours since Kontakt file management engine is not optimized for multicore processors

This is 24bit sample:

As you can see, no big difference. There's faint residue of ATH noise shaping at the end of the spectrum, but that is above 18kHz, so not a problem. Also it's just 10dB difference.
The advantages of 16bit in this case outweigh the extra 10dB at 20kHz:
- Lower RAM requirements
- Takes up less HDD space (9.5GB vs 15GB)
- More CPU efficient

Decide for yourself if you prefer 16bit or 24bit.

Hello. this is excellent but my A.R.C. is not working...... none of the wallpapers, backgrounds, button images are loading inside Kontakt (R2R Kontakt 5.541). The wallpapers and button skins for the LASS instruments show up just fine, only the A.R.C. is not working.

Is there a special place I need to move all of the A.R.C. image and text files like ARC_STAGE.png and ARC_STAGE.txt ??????

Yes, move ARC folder (the one IN ARC folder) to your Documents\Native Instruments\Kontakt 5\pictures

The script ARC 1.06 belongs to Documents\Native Instruments\Kontakt 5\presets\Scripts

It seems like there are instructions missing in user's guide - my apologies, I should have written it to the post.

Hi EtherealVoice, thanks again for the share. I just finally had some time to test it out and I have a slight problem.

I was able to get the library added to kontakt and ARC loading and working. Everything seemed fine until I quit Kontakt and then re-opened it again later. When kontakt loaded the library had a warning notification on it, and when I clicked it I got this message:

What's strange is that the file it says it's missing was never there to begin with. If I remove the library and re-add it, everything is fine again until I close and re-open Kontakt, then the same problem happens.

Any ideas why this is or how to fix it?

Strange - never had this issue before.
Try putting legacy info file to your directory and see if that helps:

Thanks so much for the help, I finally got it working just now after 3 hours of messing with it.

When I added the legacy files you gave me, it made the error go away but the library didn't work properly saying it was unregistered.

So I deleted everything and started over, removing registry keys and the xml file for it in the service center. No trace of LASS 2.0 anywhere left. Rebooted. Re-added the library and it wouldn't show up anymore at all! After many hours I figured out that it was failing at re-creating and re-registering the software in service center. I duplicated a different xml in service center, then renamed it for LASS. I opened the new LASS xml and the LASS nicnt in notepad++ and copied the id information and important data over to it very carefully, one piece at a time. Then I was able to add the library and now it works! It also no longer asks for the legacy files! Yay!

Likely yes, just move your Samples folder elsewhere and resave your patches with this Samples folder.
BTW, are there notable improvements in 2.1 ?
