Nine Volt Audio TAIKO 2 KONTAKT screenshot
DISCOVER | 06-11-2012 | KONTAKT | 2.24GB
TAIKO 2 is a multi-sample library of Japanese drums capable of an extensive range of sounds and impacts. By combining theatre recordings with intricate programming, inspirational patches and MIDI performance files, TAIKO 2 offers composers a unique set of tools for creating compelling drum performances.

The all-new recordings for TAIKO 2 combine depth of sampling and sound with an easy-to-use, customizable, fun and inspirational experience. This is how it breaks down:

Depth: Every drum, rim and stick hit feature 100 samples spread across 10 velocity ranges with 10 alternating hits (a.k.a. 10x10 round robin). The full range of a taiko ensemble’s detail and tonal color is available with over 30 different drums, 14 rims, and 14 stick types recorded in solo and/or ensemble settings.

Ease-of-use: With a focus on providing the maximum range of sounds within a minimum amount of patches, honing in on what is needed is quick and intuitive.

The core patches are organized into “kits”, allowing for complete and colossal drum compositions from a single patch and MIDI track (including bonus gongs, cymbals, steel hits and vocals).

And once a part is composed, simply change to another kit for an entirely new sound!

Customize: Dialing in new sounds is simple with the innovative EQ DNA menu, custom reverb selections and other effect and mix controls directly on the interface.

After tweaking, settings can be saved directly to a preset list within the interface for later use – or to quickly compare to other settings within the same patch!

Fun: Load a patch, mash some notes on the keyboard and listen to the army of drummers perform at command. No keyswitches, no bizarre mappings – just pound and go!

Inspirational: TAIKO 2 is capable of creating performances ranging from subtle and nuanced to ethereal and majestic, to over-the-top huge and powerful.

When additional inspiration is needed, there are 20 ensemble MIDI file performances covering a range of tempos, time signatures and styles. Pair these with any of the ten custom presets in each patch to complete the spark.

INFO: This Taiko 2 replaces the old Taiko 1?

Someone has updated news? I ask because on the site I no longer see the 1.

Thanks, I thought Taiko 2 could be a big addition.
So I can quietly trash the 1? yes

juboh,
Taiko 1 used to be "Tsaiko Taiko" and was being sold for $55. Then the developer annouced upgrade which introduces vocal shouts. That upgrade was free for new and existing owners of Tsaiko Taiko.

Later on, 9V Audio bought it from its original developer (I don't recall his name) and sold it for $119 without adding anything to his library (only wallpapers were theirs).

So look for "Tsaiko Taiko" and you'll find the same library as "Nine Volt Audio - Taiko" just without wallpapers and vocal shouts

Taiko 1 however is not worse or better than Taiko 2. It's only different approach. T1 is mostly focused on solo drums and high amount of velocity layers (64) whereas T2 is focused on both ensemble and solos with 10 velocity layers and 10 repetitions. So I think it's better to have both. mates

Hope that helped. wink

Thanks

but no thanks for no mirrors & the inconvenience of 6 files from uploaded that could easily have been 3 with fore thought (oh... double the money - I see) yeah mirror rule needs no change.

What happens when every share is split into 100mb files forcing people to download 10 times from uploaded or rg for every gig?... heck i might start sharing, i'd be able to afford cable.

No you're right we should stack it in favor of all the people here that never contribute and are too cheap to pay for a multi-hoster because piping a few terabytes into your house daily at no cost is an inalienable right. Surely these folks are the lifeblood of this site. screenshot

Yes a few regular contributors here lock mirrors but you know what else they do? Seek out content, deal with suppliers, remove watermarks, upload it, reupload it all day every day. However if you're willing to step up and take over this responsibility I would totally be happy to download from your Firedrive links and open mirrors. I'll even swing by and give you props like I always do with the good folks here.

Yeah that is exactly what I said.... eh was it?

I mentioned this exact share & perceived problem in a pm so I see no need for you to start getting all pissy considering we were discussing this like adults just 2 days ago.

One could even put forward the argument that people do just leech like selfish assheads because they see links being paid per download and thus assume their downloads as "paying" the uploaders for their time & effort.
That that was the unwritten accepted way of things.
I'd actually go as far and say that were fact.

Perhaps coming out and making this a common knowledge policy would put an end to presumed entitled whingers asking for alternative links?

I wrote this before we had our discussion and it wasn't specifically aimed at you but in general because I deal with this kind of thing a lot and it takes a lot of time that I could be doing things like procuring some awesome new releases, squashing bugs, etc. There's just too much going on after a relaunch such as this to even have an extensive conversation on this matter. I will however respond to your PM and to some of the statements you've made on some posts when I have a moment but it might take me a while because I'm really behind.
