Vir2 Instruments Violence KONTAKT DVDR-DYNAMiCS screenshot
Team DYNAMiCS | Dec 2010 | 797.72 MB
Created for both musical use and sound design, Violence features an unprecedented deconstruction of a solo violin recorded from numerous angles: bowed, scraped, hit, plucked, played with mallets, chopsticks, guitar picks, and wet fingers. Then the sound design was repitched, layered, and post-processed through an array of unusual tools to produce sounds unlike any found in other virtual instruments. More than eighty unique patches were designed, each with a custom set of scripted knobs and controls all conveniently organized into four categories of sounds: Drum Kits, Melodic, Pads and Sound Effects, and Tempo-Synced.

The inspiration for Violence came from the influential American composer John Cage, whose extensive experiments with prepared piano yielded new timbres and effects. What Cage did on the piano, Violence brings to the violin: a new and unorthodox approach to a traditional instrument, yielding amazing and fresh new instruments, textures, and sound design elements. Violence combines physical alterations with digital manipulations for a sound that straddles acoustic and electronic realms.

Violence is powered by the industry-leading Kontakt engine. It is compatible with VST, AudioUnit, and RTAS (Pro Tools 7 & Cool plug-in formats allowing it to work seamlessly within any major sequencer, in addition to standalone use.

Violence features a variety of controls which are custom-designed for each of its 82 instruments. The instruments are subdivided into four major category folders:

* Drum Kits
* Melodic
* Pads and SFX
* Tempo Synced

Depending on the instrument loaded, appropriate knobs for tweaking the instrument appear in the interface, such as:

* Quantization
* Envelope controls (attack and release)
* Stereo spread
* Lopass and hipass filters
* Layer blend controls
* Effects (reverb, delay, drive, flanger, vibrato, rotator, wobble, and others)
* Autopan control
* Repeater

It's never actually been here. Period.
Only on the tracker.
The Clavichord is from the Late Middle Ages. It's not a Clavinet.

Hi there. I can't get it to work. I am on Kontakt 6.6.0, Mojave 10.14.6.
I have tried with the Kitty script and without it. With the name that the folder comes with and another. With "sudo codesign --force --deep --sign -" in Terminal and with BatchMod.

Always deleting .xml and preferences between one attempt and the other.

Nothing of that has worked for me.

Any suggestions will be very appreciated. Thanks for this contribution

Updated to Kontakt 6.6.1
It continues in Demo mode and without any sound.

Only one library from dozens: this one.

Why could be the reason?

Thank you PiRAT for this very interesting Upload
Thank you all for this place

And many others too that use the old method of .nkc and .nkx.
This was from 2010 or something!
And out of hundreds, not dozens, you will find more!

If you tried adding with a bespoke .nicnt?
Don't.
quote by jkarlI have tried with the Kitty script and without it.

Not even needed.

That's for software. A library is not software.
quote by jkarlAlways deleting .xml and preferences between one attempt and the other.

It's only the .xml for us on macOS.
.plist or prefs aren't important here.
quote by jkarlWith the name that the folder comes with and another.

Would never effect anything if the folder is called Blah!
It's the .nicnt, or in this case the .nkc and .nkx, that we are adding and what Kontakt looks for.

The library is over 10 years old!
If you couldn't get it working prior, an update won't help!
quote by jkarlNothing of that has worked for me.

Because none of what you did is even related to the problem.
quote by jkarlWhy could be the reason?

Because you created your own .nicnt for some reason?
When all you needed to do was Add Library.
In 5.6.0! lol.

You have to Add the library!
Don't use a .nicnt, it doesn't need one to load.
It has the old .nkc and .nkx which acted as a .nicnt before they came around.
