KONTAKT - 233 MB
Rytmik is an inspiring beat engine that delivers a very rich and unique collection of sounds and beats for massive cinematic percussion, cue scoring, electro, hip hop or industrial. It is a great tool for instant rhythmic inspiration which provides endless flexibility to find a unique language for the music you’re writing.

Rytmik is fed by over 200 drum and FX sounds that we have carefully collected and specially created. Special attention was paid to massive booms and organic ensemble as well as to urban and unique sounds used for chasing cue or as ghost beats and finally to long FX sounds for creating wide and deep textures.

WHAT IS RYTMIK?
Rytmik is an inspiring beat engine that delivers a very rich and unique collection of sounds and beats for massive cinematic percussion, cue scoring, electro, hip hop or industrial.

Technically speaking, Rytmik is a 32-step sequencer with up to 24 individual tracks, which gives you great flexibility and variation simply because of this large number of tracks. The sequencer is fed by over 200 drum and FX sounds that we have carefully collected and specially created. We have paid special attention to the massive booms and hits that are the result of multiple layering of many individual percussion sounds - these sounds are actually rather often ensemble hits. But we also concentrated on creating urban and unique sounds that can be used for chasing cue or as ghost beats for music productions. And finally, we have taken care of long FX sounds that offer the possibility to create wide and deep textures. It doesn't take much imagination to imagine what would come out when mixing all these sounds.

RECORD YOUR BEAT
A special and so far unique feature of this sequencer is tthe possibilty of recording notes! Press play, then record and you hear a click. Now Rytmik records everything you play. This is a completely new approach to software beat machines and produces completely different results than if you have to enter everything by mouse - which is also possible!

NO LOOPS
As said, Rytmik does not fire audio files or loops. Rytmik is based on a sequencer that plays every single beat in real time. This "open system" of a sequencer gives you access to your beat at any time, both in the changes of the individual beats and in the tempo and expression of it. There are 2 ways to play the beat. Either you press the play button or you play C4. But you are also free to play individual tracks separately in your own combinations. But you can also just play with single sounds live to beat. This is a great way to play rhythm with many variations
Finally the real-time shape option, already known from Marble, gives the beat infinite flexibility to edit the beat in real-time to your music.
But if you don't want to program your own beat and want Rytmik to suggest a suitable beat for you, with its large number of beats Rytmik always provides enough material for you, so that you don't have to go to the mixer or sequencer. And to make sure that you always find the right sound or beat, we have built in many suitable search filters, so you can quickly find exactly what you have in mind.

As we said, by trying out this huge amount of beats, Rytmik is a great tool for instant rhythmic inspiration to find a unique language for the music you write.

THIS IS WHAT YOU GET
350 Beats
You get 350 instant beats divided in 50 main themes, 65 production beats, 55 chasing cues, 145 score patterns and 45 textures from electro/hip hop to scoring/cinematic and industrial. By using the 3 selection filter 'Style', 'Energy' and 'Color you can easily narrow down your result.

200+ Sounds
You get massive booms and percussion ensemble hits, but also regular bass drum, toms, snares, cymbals and ethnic drums as well as urban and electronic sounds and unique fx slices.
The combination of organic and electronic sounds provides endless flexibility to find a unique language for the music you’re writing.

No Audio Loops
All beats are real-time generated by a 32 step sequencer with up to 24 tracks. This gives you access to your beat at any time, both in the changes of the individual beats and in the tempo and expression of it.

Real-time Recording
That is unique - never heard of live recording into Kontakt. Sying so, you can create or edit/ add your beat by pressing a recording button! Surely you can traditionally draw your notes into the grid.

Beat Fragments Playing
That is unique - To create the greatest possible variation, it is also possible to play all parts of each beat individually as your "own" beat.

Shifting Beats
You are able to shift either the entire beat or individual tracks forward or backward.

Playback
Rytmik plays its beat by pressing a key or a play button. You can also play individual tracks/ fragments of the whole beat separately - an excellent feature.

Zoom
Each track can be displayed in big-size format with lots of options.

Group Load
You get the option to fill completely a single group (5-7 tracks) directly with sounds that are arranged according to a special themes like 'Bass Drums', 'Accoustics', 'Low End', 'Hits' or 'Tonal' etc.

Real time sound shaping
That is unique! Free programmable behaviour of lots of fx paramters such as velocity, volume, reverb send, LoFi, distortion and low or high pass filters - all controlled by free assignable controller. And guess what? This works in real- time.

Load/ Save
You can load or save your own beats on external destinations.

Yes something is broken for me too.
You can use 'load file' to load individual presets from 'Reptile Presets' folder but I am sure they are meant to change when selecting on the interface.

200 mb 170 eur holy s***... might be decent but not worth 10% of it!

Yeah this is priced higher than what they usually charge for their instruments. Their Vertigo violin (which is all i use for underscore) is 90 euros for example and so are many of their other instruments...

Tried the batch resave. didn´t do it for me. still only the battleship preset runs no changes when you try different presets. what do i do wrong?
  Member 18.10.2019 152

Batch resave sorted the "missing files at start-up" problem but the presents still will not load unless I manually browse to the folder as described above. Also the GUI is a bit weird. Edit and selection boxes pop up and will not go away unless I go to a different tab.

Presets work for me now. Try this:
Create a folder named "content" in the base folder and move "Reptile_Presets" inside this new folder. Batch Resave if you have not yet. It should work now...

I also had the problem with the presets which did not change the selection ...
The list of snapchots still does not appear by choosing "the camera" in the Kontakt engine but the change of presets is done very well by creating a content file.
Thank you xboix for the instructions link and dreddlbkc for the solution to the problem!

Outstanding offering Talula.

Please can someone tell our lovely German friends (especially those we have to listen to on walkthroughs) that the word parameter is not pronounced para-meeeter, the correct emphasis is on the second 'a' = paraaaa-mi-ter, parameter.
When I get this one, I'll be able to create something

Presets and the UI work as expected with a few simple changes.

Summary
Create a folder named: Content in the instrument's root folder and move 2 folders into it, open the instrument, browse to the .nkr Resource file if asked to, then Save the instrument via the File menu and it works.

When I first opened it, it couldn't find the Resource file and various Content files. I did a file search for the string: Reptile_Presets and it was found only in the .nkr file. I went into Instrument Options, Scripts > Edit and found this line:
Content/Reptile_Presets/_Shapes/rev_reset.nka

...indicating where the presets belong.

In CI_Rytmik create folder: Content
Move these 2 folders into that new Content folder:
Reptile_Presets
Rytmik Samples

So the folder structure should be:
(indent of 4 or 8 hyphens here indicates a sub-folder as this coment dialog eats leading spaces ;)

Content
----Reptile_Presets
--------_Shapes
----Rytmik Samples

Data

Resources
----data
----ir_samples
----pictures
--------preset_labels
----scripts

License Agreement 2020.txt
Rytmik.nkc
Rytmik.nki

After making the Content folder and moving the 2 folders into it, open the instrument .nki and if asked where the Rytmik.nkr is click on Find Files then browse to Rytmik.nkr in the CI_Rytmik base folder. Then use Kontakt's File > Save Instrument so you don't get asked for the resource file every time you open it.
