CineSymphony LITE is a comprehensive sketch tool recorded at the world famous MGM Scoring Stage at Sony Pictures studios in Los Angeles, and recorded by industry veteran Dennis Sands. CineSymphony LITE covers the essentials of all orchestral instrument sections, and provides students and professional composers with a solid starting foundation in their music scoring palette.

ABOUT THIS LIBRARY
CineSymphony LITE is revolutionary in its simplicity and ability to recreate the sound of the orchestra. The library was designed by composers, for composers, with direct feedback from the film community during its development. It was specifically designed to be a composer's sketch or travel kit, but also a learning kit for beginners. The result is a library that is easy to use, composer-friendly, and sounds professionally mixed right out of the box without being too demanding on hardware.

PATCH LIST
01 Strings Ensemble Arco LITE
02 Strings Ensemble Pizzicato LITE
03 Brass Ensemble LITE
04 Woodwind Ensemble LITE
05 Timpani LITE
06 Percussion LITE

ABOUT THE PATCHES
While the aim of CineSymphony LITE is to give you a fully playable orchestra in a small set, to truly be able to program samples properly, it is highly recommended that you invest further in the CineSymphony line to get more articulations like harmonics, staccatos, legatos, mutes, trills, etc. The LITE percussion patches provided are just a fraction of what our full-line can offer.

That's the nature of short articulations and loopable sustains and perhaps less recorded RRs, less layers and mics and violá! Here comes the result: a light weight library.
I just hate to think about the side effect of this kind of library: more and more annoying tv ads and cartoons with the excess (or exclusivity) of short notes.
It was funny to see how the guy in the demo video strictly avoided melodic movements.
This library sounds good (just like the short notes in almost any other libraries, except Kirk Hunter and the likes of Garritan) and if they didn't screw the scripting, it can be sucessfull. I just can't stand music without legato.

agreed, I also can't stand modern music that so often lacks any kind of melody

Suprised this took nearly 5 years to get released on here. It’s a bit outdated now and there are better offerings. Will give it a try thanks.

The scripting on this with the instrument ranges and under the hood stuff is second to none. This library stands the time test. Its worth the price. For pros.

What you guys think about Symphobia versus Cinesamples lite?

I think that it sounds good despite the short size of it!

Maybe together with some bigger strings and brass samples it could sound great.

symphobia 1 is way better than this... it's 15gigs of samples so way more sonic options. although i kind of feel symphobia 1 is weighted towards composers making tense or more scary themes(with all of the extra cluster and effects patches)...

but if you're making unrealistic orchestra music for like mobile games or a kids cartoon then maybe this library would be okay? however i think it's DEFINITELY NOT WORTH the $400 price tag!!!! especially when you have berlin tools inspire for the same price. or just pay $50 more and buy spitfire's albuion 1 at $450 (that gives you 50gigs of sounds to work with).
make music, not walls.

Could you tell us which library sounds better with such a small size?

Thx

berlin tools "inspire" sounds way more realistic and clocks in at only 9gigs(5 years ago 2gigs was okay.. but 5 years later 9gigs maybe makes more sense considering how bigger laptop ssds are a bit cheaper now?)

maybe not 2 gigs but orchestral tools inspire does sound better to me. it seems like it was sampled better. and even tuned better. both are nice though.

A 5-year-old library that is still sold for 400 dollars? Wow.
