1979 Crumar General Development System, GDS Shimmers
GDS Shimmers was the first patch programmed in the voice editor when the full system was returned to working order for the first time in many years during major restoration in late 2014.
It is one of only three known working examples in the world.
As a souvenir of this special event, the sound was captured and faithfully multi-sampled in Kontakt. The GDS was a derivative of the Bell Labs Alles Machine and was the groundbreaking 32 oscillator digital synthesizer to directly form the basis of the DK Synergy.
