It is official, they ran out of ideas to make new stuff.

This is more of the same rehashed, how many "iconic/classic synths sampled etc. etc." are they gonna release lmao...

They just grab the same samples from years ago and give it a new GUI, make it available only for the newer versions of Kontakt so they can fish buyers.

That may be somewhat true, but I'd much prefer to have instruments like this over sample packs of the same thing any day. MIDI = God.

Why do you think they used old samples for those 3 libraries? As far as I know all of them were created with usage of their new wavetable thing. Wouldn't it be stupid to use old samples for new engine? Anyway, I'm not sure neither.

It would be pretty stupid but sadly it's not unheard of. I doubt (for the most part) a company as prominent as them would stoop to that unless they were ready for the backlash of angry soon-to-be ex customers

how to install this for macos? i tried using kontakt 5.6 to add the library, unfortunately it didn't appear when i opened kontakt 5.8 or kontakt 6. the hybrid keys iso opened in kontakt 5.8 and kontakt 6... same problem for ethereal earth. any help would be greatly appreciated.

never mind, i found the technique. here it is for anybody else having trouble.

1. check the SNPID number of the library, go to the folder of the library and open the nicnt file (with TextEdit or any similar program), you will find a line like this:
<SNPID>P74</SNPID>
(in this case P74 was the ID code of Metropolis Ark 3)
2. go to your hard drive > Library > Application Support > Native Instruments > Service Center, and look for the .xml file with the name of that desired library, open it with TextEdit and you will see that the SNPID number there is 000 which indicates that Kontakt somehow hasn't been able to add it properly, or whatever... Change that three zeros with the ID code you found in the nicnt of that library.
During this process Kontakt app should not be opened!

By the way, I managed this new version to work installing it above the 5.6.8, didn't need to use the 5.6.5 installer. I used this 5.6.0 app though to add the library, however with the 5.6.5 app it does the same job, too.

For me on 10.10.5 this new Native Access app appears as a non-working app due to my system version, earlier than 10.11, but so far it hasn't bothered Kontakt to work.

And there was another issue with some old libraries from the era when those came out without nicnt files, so people need to create one or find it here in Audioz made by others.

Kontakt libraries have their gold age . They started to sound better and better than regular VSTis.. I hope that builders will produce some libraries as Spire, Serum ext.

Works fine here with Logic X 10.4.2 running Mac Sierra - by loading first with the Kontakt 5.6.0 app - and opening the Analog Dreams Library in Logic X (with component plugin).

No need for complex fiddling with "<SNPID>P74</SNPID> .." etc.

So I installed Kontakt 6.0.2 and downloaded analog dreams on my mac.
Now how do I get it to work?
Can anyone help me?
