I hear G-Player can run .giga libs, too.

Apparently, using the giga format in Kontakt makes little to no sense because you lose all the programming/scripting, leaving you with something only a little better than a more-than-a-decade-old-sounding half-assed synthy string library.

Not sure how it works in G-Player, though.

G-Player can run .gig files very well using ASIO drivers.

It is the closest experience to use Gigastudio 3, but the sound quality and low latency of GSIF drivers It has not been achieved so far.

The sound quality is not related with the scrips but with the GSIF driver itself.

Same here, although I don't expect much. After all, the competition is pretty fierce. (Mural, Sable, CS, OTBS, LASS, you name it...)

UPDATE:

I tried this library using G-Player in Cubase with B2 reverb (same setting I use in my orchestral template). Gotta say the results were very underwhelming - no RR makes the short articulations pretty much useless, no legato transitions (you'd have to be very thorough in your midi and ADSR editing, ) and a synthy sound to many articulations (juding by modern standards). Speaking of which, there are a whole lot of them, including the rarer ones, which is one of the good points, but considering the flaws mentioned above, it still makes for a technically outdated libary that I have no reason for using in thsi day and age.

IF you are looking for a string library, I would recommend looking elsewhere - this warez version is just too trimmed to be a match for latest libs, and I would never even flirt with the thought of actually buying any of the VSL products for one simple reason - fucking iLok. EOS.
