Cosmic Drum & Bass' from Loopmasters is an adventure into the underworld of Drum & Bass from one of the masters of his art form - 'Fracture'. Producers of Drum & Bass, Dubstep, Breakbeat and Alternative Electronic Styles should expect an all out aural assault in this collection of Heavyweight Bass, Beats & FX.

With Split and Layered Bass Loops, divided into Mids, Tops and Subs, heavy twisted growling Bass Lines, Electric Melodic Reversed and Mangled Guitar Loops, Floating Spooky Underwater sounding Pads, and Atmospheric Synths make this a unique addition to any progressive or Underground Drum and Bass Producers sound collection.

'Cosmic Drum & Bass' weighs in at an impressive 850 MB and includes 425 24-Bit samples, including 303 Loops between 170 to 174 BPM, and 123 One-Shot Samples. Also included are 50 ready-to-play patches for Reason NN-XT, Halion, Kontakt, EXS and SFZ compatible soft samplers. Apple Loops, Reason Refill and Ableton Live versions are also available to purchase separately.

In detail, 'Cosmic Drum & Bass' includes 22 Drum Construction Kits comprised of 113 Loops covering Dark and Menacing, Twisted, Glitched, Dreamy, Experimental and Half Time, plus 106 Full Loop Construction Kit Sections, 10 Layered Bass Construction kits, 12 Single Bass Loops, 9 Melodic Guitar Loops, 12 Resonating Pad Loops, 9 Smooth Rhodes Pads, 10 Atmos Synth Loops, 20 Sci Fi Atmos FX, 20 Single Bass Tones, 22 Synth and Pad One-Shots, 61 Single Drum Samples, and 5 Drum Kits.

"I set out to make this sample pack with a very clear vision. I wanted to create a pack which married the classic gritty sounds of vintage Drum & Bass with today's contemporary sound and crystal clear high end production. This ethos and cross pollination of techniques is something that runs very strong in Fracture & Neptune productions and is the building blocks of our label, Astrophonica.

When creating the bass loops in this pack I stuck to methods I use in my own productions. You will find the loops have been split into 2 layers; a sub bass layer and a mid range or top end layer. This is a tried and tested technique within Drum & Bass and allows you much more control over the morphing and effecting of your bass line.

When mixed together, the two layers combine to create a full bass line with character and weight. You can then add effects and morphing to the mid or top layer, while keeping the sub layer untouched. This allows for a much cleaner mix with prominent bite and character to the bass line while keeping the weight and warmth in tact.

The drum loops have been created in a similar way. You will find that each beat has been supplied as a full loop but also as its composite parts. For instance, snare layer, kick layer and hi-hat layer. This gives you maximum flexibility and allows you to completely re-edit the loops to make them your own.

This is an extremely well put together sample collection that is both unique in its presentation, versatility, and in the sounds and inspiration which have been presented. Fracture has really pulled out all the stops here.

Reason Refill, Ableton Live Packs and Apple Loops are not included, and must be purchased where available as a separate download. Apple Loops packs also include any single hits and EXS patches where applicable.
