This project started as a simple quest for the perfect piano-house sound - and quickly spiraled into an obsession. Perhaps you can relate...

Ever wondered why producers still gravitate towards the legendary M1 piano?
Struggled endlessly trying to fit modern piano sounds into your club tracks?
Wished for instantly accessible, punchy piano patches to cut through dense drums without breaking your creative flow?
I spent years grappling with these exact questions. Driven by curiosity, I began sampling iconic vintage Hadrware units.

The results blew me away - I couldn't stop there. Soon, I was crafting entirely new patches from fresh piano samples using the older workstation technoiques -, each one meticulously tailored for maximum impact.

What emerged is something truly special: F9 Origins Old School Pianos

60 powerful piano patches specifically designed to thrive in contemporary (and classic) club and pop music productions.

But now thanks to Xfer records, we can throw the power of these Multisamples the world's most infamous modern synthesizer - Serum 2

Not only can we utilise the legendary transient response, dynamic audio engine of Serum 2, but we can also utilise its voicing structure and effects rack to elevate the sounds even further.

Didn't realize that this was released for Kontakt about 5 years or so ago. Any difference from that to this release, besides which one to load multisamples?

Great question. I'm wondering the same. Sometimes with situations like this I end up doing some actual testing myself to see which one I like better.

I've never wondered why house producers "gravitate towards the legendary M1 house piano". It's even less so than against Serum2 and its CPU usage to make a house piano part with; unless it is a important part and way out in front of your mix or playing by itself.

Thats why we need all 3, right? TY uploader.

After posting the question, I figured in Serum, you can see the actual settings to create the classic presets. So you're right, just which you prefer to use. Same sounds. Same results.
