NASTRO VHS contains lots of playable synthtones, loops and textures created with some of the best analog synths out there and re-processed through real VHS recorders to add dirt, static noise and detuning effects.

You don’t need NASTRO Soundscapes in order to use NASTRO VHS but all NASTRO instruments are designed to beautifully blend together and help you create analog beauty in a fun and easy way.

Without presets good luck ....... i hardly use presets with effects but in tapes etc you need a starting point at least

To be honest, the VHS deck had excellent recording quality when used in hi-fi audio mode. I used it for years in the 90's in my FM station to transmit night-time playlists: a C300 cassette was capable of playing 10 hours of music in LP mode. I believe that technically, VHS wasn't even considered an analog recording

I did the same thing for years to record a local radio show I was doing on FM, would set the timer and let it record from home while I was at the station. I figured it was as close as I could get to recording it digitally on the cheap, and they still sound cleaner than any audio cassette could.
