Anyone know the proper name to search for the Factory Library out there? (as someone who is going from V5.62 or whatnot) and doing a clean install to V7 on a MBP running Sonoma....

I don't want to install the whole damn NI package, as I don't use that much of it, outside of Kontakt and GuitarRig (and not for guitars usually)...

But I've got terrabytes of Kontakt libraries that I have gotten legit or here over the years, and need to cherry pick from them as to what I normally use... but I would like to have the general "factory lib" or whatnot without a whole lot of fuss....

I know this is an UPDATE ONLY, and I'm not spending weeks with rapidgator, so if someone kindly had at least the proper 'file name' to look for out there in my needs I would appreciate it.

Ok, so this update is different. Unlike the previous (1.1.2, I believe), this one does not ask for the library location. And I'm using Kontakt 7 portable on windows. It says something like "no library found on the default path". So, anyone having the same issue or know how to solve it? I've tried making a shortcut pointing to the library on "/Users/Public/PublicDocuments", but with no success.

Ps. I do not have Native Access installed, only K7 portable

I encountered the same issue on a Mac. If you have the original full library installer you can launch that but quit before it starts to install again - at some point the installer will show you the default install path. On the Mac it's: (startup drive)>Users>Shared. I had originally installed mine on a different drive, as I suspect many people do with a lib this large. I tried making a simlink to the installed lib and labelling it identically to the default lib name, but it still calls me a failure. I also tried extracting elements manually from the update installer using Pacifist, which usually works with NI installers, but it fails every time.

I suspect there's a problem with the installer file itself.

The updater works perfect if the original lib is installed in the default path (startup drive>Users>Shared).
