Sound Ideas Digiffects Series C : Rural WAV screenshot
1092 WAV files - 44.1khz | 12.01 GB
Rural Sound Effects by Digiffects – Series C is a set of more than 1,100 royalty free sound effects. The collection focuses on the sounds you find outside the concrete jungle and takes you to country living with both civilized farm life and life in the wild. Domesticated farm animals like cows, sheep, goats and horses – and rural wildlife including lions, tigers and bears – and a great selection of wild birds. The sound effects in this series include oceans, rivers, streams, forests, meadows and waterfalls. Each CD in this collection provides an excellent selection of rural sounds in its own right and is available as a complete library download.

Originally recorded in 1986 by Ljudproduktion AB, and redistributed by Sound Ideas in 2000.

Thank you for sharing Digiffects! I did not find this one anywhere else before so this is very appreciated. Also, I can't find series B in case you have it.

Thank you

Thanks, cyanide. I have most of the Digi library but only had 1-5 of C.

Tremendous work. I was never able to find this one in the past, and all the others have multiple sounds per track which is p annoying. Thanks!

FYI, this is only CD's 1-6, not all 12, and possibly not all of CD6. I got a couple errors when unpacking but everything that's there seems to play ok.

there must've been an error with winrar making the library into part files, sorry about that, i can probably make a new archive with fixed part files

Must've been a problem on your side because I was able to extract all 18 CDs and rename all wav files in accordance to Sound Ideas's PDF without any issues. Everything is there

hey, question: what tool/command do you use to rename files according to pdf list?

I'm doing it in an incredibly unethical way. I got a an excel script called "FileNameChanger".
I first download sound ideas's PDF and convert it to xlsx, I use Bulk Rename Utility to rename all .wav files of the library and append their CD number at the beginning, I put all .wav files in one folder, load them in FileNameChanger, open the converted xlsx of sound ideas, copy and paste all filenames in it while making sure the S.I xlsx list are in the correct order (sorted by CD number + track), and execute the rename script. I then go back to bulk rename utility and fix all extensions issues.
After that I usually I also want the files to have their "description" tag be the one from S.I's xlsx. To do that I first use MP3tag to copy the filename of each .wav files to their "title" tag. I then redo the same process as before but for the descriptions. I reload filename changer with my newly named .wav files, I go back to S.I's xlsx and sort all files by "filename" in alphabetic order (so everything is in accordance to all the .wav files in my folder), I copy all descriptions there and rename yet again all .wav files to what will be their descriptions with 4 random number at the end of each to avoid duplicates (you can do this in bulk easily in excel there are a bunch of tutorials), I then remove any character that windows doesn't allow in filenames (: / \ ? * ><)
I then use bulk rename utility to remove these random numbers at the end, I go back to mp3 tag, copy the newer filenames to the "description" and "comments" tag, THEN I copy the "title" tag right back to the filename (since it's the original intended name for each files)

Hopefully that was understandable. There's probably a muuuuch better way of doing this but it's what worked for me.

it’s understandable, I could follow your thinking while reading, but that being said I haven’t actually done it yet.. So tbd if I’ll actually get it done I guess ;) In any case, thanks a bunch for the detailed instructions!

So i just recently saw a post on the complete set of Digiffects here 138 gigs. So I started downloading it only to come back to a message saying "ERROR Resident don't have access to this part of the site." and all the links are gone. I am very confused about this. Can anyone out there explain this.
