It's all about how you arrange them, creativity & what sounds are used.. Drill sounds can be used creatively on other genres as well if a producer can get creative without making it sound trap or drill.. EDIT: Mispelled words

Both are true, of course. It's never just patterns or just sounds. Those gliding subs in every drill track you hear, for example: you can file them under 'sounds.'
