Lofi HipHop is well-trodden ground at this point. ‘Chill Lo-Fi’ brings new life into the genre by expanding outside the usual 'sampled jazz loop and halftime beat'. Here hardware synths (Juno106, MiniMoog, Novation Peak) have been used to create rich textures, and foley recordings blend with beats to give you a deeply organic atmosphere to play with. Influence has been taken from ambient and downtempo music to give the pack a unique take on the genre.

LoFi doesn't exist. Its just Hip Hop that has been made for 30 years rebadged by some kid that thinks he's doing something new.

This is why i hate bandwagon jumpers. Use and abuse an existing genre, saturate it to death then move on to the next victim....

Sure LoFi owes it's life to Hip-Hop, and so does rap, trap, drill and a probably a crapload of other sub genres... but that doesn't mean they can't be appreciated and enjoyed for what they are, in the right setting.
