Strange Industrial. They could call this one any of the EDM genres. I was really surprised when I heard the demo. On the other hand, Industrial is not really well defined genre. Just compare Hocico to Ministry, for example. Both defined as industrial bands. I'm not a big fan of Hocico, but I love Ministry - Industrial Metal? Maybe this could be called Industrial EDM, since it reminds me of Hocico.

Ministry is def Industrial Metal. Nine Inch Nails is probs just Industrial. Then we have some Industrial Dance/EBM bands and everything else is Post-Industrial imho.

I grew up on a lotta stuff that was at some point considered Industrial and still is. KMFDM, Skinny Puppy, NiN, Celldweller, The Shizit, Fear Factory, :Wumpscut:, Atari Teenage Riot... The overall genre is awesome although there's some fruity shit out there just like with any genre.

Btw, not disagreeing with you! Just happy to run into someone else who digs Industrial music. Hard to find a community! Peace.

NIN is mostly Industrial Rock. Industrial is just an umbrella term anyway and I look at EBM and Electro-Industrial as subgenres of it.

Ditto. Throbbing Gristle, Cabaret Voltaire, Chemlab, 16Volt, Front Line Assembly, Machines Of Loving Grace, Velvet Acid Christ, etc. I've been listening to Industrial since before I was a teenager. Hmm, maybe that's why I'm so fucked up.

You came to the right place, there's a bunch of Rivetheads writhing in the darkness around these parts. They only come out when they smell blood though.

Hocico technically inhabits a subgenre of Industrial called Aggrotech. Ministry is like Industrial Metal but then again it depends on the album because back in the day they would be classified as Synthpop.
