Micromal Gbox is a sample-based drum instrument created by combining various Ableton plugins/effects and which turns Live into a powerful and extremely flexible groovebox. The library consists of 150 instrument presets, 30 Live Clips. 30 MIDI loops and 315 worldclass WAV samples organized in 8 drum categories: Kick, Snare, Low Beat, Synth, Glitch, Percussion, Hi Freqency, Hhat. The operation of Micromal Gbox is very intuitive. Simply load one of the Clip presets and try to move the knobs in the “Sample Selector” section. This feature is the core of Micromal Gbox and allows you to replace in real-time the single samples while the MIDI file is playing your instrument.

Each drum part is equipped with its own “Source Editor” that controls various source parameters : Filter cutoff & resonance, Tune, Pitch attack & envelope, Sample attack & decay, Reverse Sample. The single drum parts are also equipped with sound-specific “Effect Racks” that increase drastically the sound customization. The included effects are: Club Kicker, Dynamic Snare, Sub Harmonic, Grain Room, Metal Echo, Room Filter, Fluid Echo, Hat Modulator.

You can access the single “Source Editors” and “Effect Racks” simply by clicking the related pads in the “Part Editor” section. The Source & Effect sections maintain their settings also if you change the samples in the Sample Selector and every parameter can be easily programmed via MIDI.
