Class Overview

Learn the industry standard approach to composing TV theme & underscore
Jeff Lippencott is the 2x Emmy-nominated composer behind the music for some of the world’s most popular TV shows, including Shark Tank, American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, Masterchef, The Biggest Loser, Who Wants To Be a Millionaire, and many more.

He's won 30 ASCAP and BMI Film and TV awards, including “Most performed themes and underscores” for the past 10 consecutive years.

In this class, Jeff teaches you everything he knows about composing music for reality, documentary and alternative television shows.

During the class, Jeff brings you into his studio and share with you his entire creative process from start to finish. Follow along as he develops the complete musical sound of a real show currently in process, starting from how he scores the trailer, all the way through the final mix and bounce of in show music cues.

The show used in class "All These Walls" is currently being pitched around Hollywood. First, Jeff creates the underscore for the trailer used to show network execs. Then, he moves forward with the main title theme and underscore based on the assumption that the show is picked up by a network. Finally, he create the complete sound of the show for full and final TV production.

Along the way, Jeff explains everything that he's doing. You'll learn Jeff's proven system for writing the most complete and versatile theme and cue library — a system that has now become the standard in alternative programming.

By the end of class, you’ll know how to deliver exactly what producers are expecting, and more!
