Radiance is a Max for Live device which uses Modal Synthesis to make your drums more metallic.

You can control the frequencies of the resonant peaks Radiance adds to change the timbre.

Whilst this is mainly for metallic drums, you could also tune the added resonances of your sound to a minor or major scale to add a melodic layer.
