Vocoflex

Real-time Voice Morphing Effects

Vocoflex is Dreamtonics’ experimental
approach to voice morphing.
a tool to replace your vocals with any voice.
your hidden ace on the live stage.
lights and shadows, time and space.
dancing to the rhythm of your own drum.
for creating something new.

How Vocoflex Works:

Import a File
Vocoflex analyzes the imported vocals and turns them into a curve. Each dot on the curve represents a small chunk taken from the input file.

OR

Generate a Voice
A color picker for voices.
Customize your own voice by randomizing the hue.
Share the hex code with your friends!

Send in Your Voice
Plug in your mic, or load Vocoflex as a plugin, and Vocoflex will change your voice based on the imported or generated voices.

Start Mixing
Move the light probe to create exotic vocal effects in real-time.
Voices under the light will be added together.
Voices in the shadow will be “subtracted” from the rest.

"To prevent unauthorized usage, Vocoflex incorporates an audio watermarking feature. Undetectable to the ear, this feature embeds a unique license ID into the voice, enabling Dreamtonics to identify both the use of Vocoflex and the creator of the audio sample."

I expect a team or an individual to remove this feature.

That's not to prevent piracy, it's to cover their asses in case someone creates some offensive shit, and they get sued. It's in the EULA. Unless making offensive stuff is what you want, then for all means, removal is the only option.

I hope other software companies aren't doing this sort of thing. They could use it as a way to give themselves credit, even if their plugin was used minimally.

Dreamtonics invites artists interested in exploring the creative capabilities of Vocoflex to join our beta testing program.

To ensure testing is conducted in a safe and constructive manner, we are launching a moderated program with limited slots available. Successful applicants will be granted an evaluation copy of Vocoflex after completing identity verification.

so the vocal models provided are likely to be several gigabytes in size

No, it only needs about 10 seconds of clean vocal audio and it can clone that vocal.

Buyer Beware:
As a precautionary measure, Vocoflex requires ID verification through our KYC-service partner.

To further prevent unauthorized usage, Vocoflex embeds an inaudible audio watermark into the voice, enabling Dreamtonics to identify the creator of altered voices and curb the usage of voice samples without the singer's consent - a practice prohibited by our license terms.

Our advanced watermarking technology is resilient against audio manipulations such as mixing with background music and transmission through a phone call.

Technically the "advanced watermark" technology will be shipped with the plugin which might be manipulated by a "bad guy", and they didn't claim they have the ability to detect "fake watermark", the "unauthorized usage" is also a blur concept. It's kinda risky to buy it IMO because they have your ID.

Your personal ID will be tagged into the software and any output.

The only alternative is a comparable open source solution.

Actually using machine learning, but AI is the buzz word these days.

YA, who's going to sacrifice because the release will have someone's government ID attached. Will you volunteer if provided the funds?

I have been testing this software, and its impressive, but not there yet. It needs better documentation and implementation of voice cloning. I expect improvements to come though.

I am here to pray to the witches to please hurry up with this. We need this. Thank you dear witches.

They apparently implemented the watermarking as part of the vocal generation (/ changing) process / the model itself to avoid the witches just removing the watermarking part. This means we're (likely) sadly out of luck with this one (and probably also their other products).

I own vocoflex and syntheziser v pro. Only vocoflex required watermarking with customer data. Synthesizer V still has potential for release.

So...it seems this cannot be cracked. Oh well, we hoped, but sadly no one is up to the challenge. Bummer.

It's too soon for something like this, and if their business potential is interrupted, who will pay the salaries of developers to improve the software. Let them grow. From my experience, its probably not what you're expecting. Re already have Replay AI to clone voices. This one actually won't "clone", but alter some timre.

And that is exactly what I want. I've tried all the cloners. Not what I want. I need this. With my luck, as soon as I buy it (which I can't afford by the way), then the cracked version will be released. Has happened before.

I understand, it has happened especially after buying Kontakt libraries. As for VocoFlex, I'm afraid the verification process is strict. They will not issue a license until verifying your official government information. So...someone will have to make the sacrifice, probably from a country that will have no consequence. In the EU, its too risky.

I'm not knowledgeable enough to understand this "watermarking" thing, but if it's baked into the audio, wouldn't a skilled audio engineer be able to analyze the audio to detect it and reverse engineer a filter to remove it from the audio or find out from where the source signal of the watermark is likely to originate from and block it?

Or perhaps there is no "watermark" in the first place and it's only used as a scare tactic? Like putting up a fake camera to make people feel as if they are being watched?

And if someone is able to hack it, then what hinders them from making "offensive shit" and adding another persons watermark ID into the audio?

(Opinion) I don't think they use/care about the audio watermarking. A little play on words and obscurity helps their goal.
(FACT) identification is encoded into the authorization key so they will know who shared it...and that makes more sense why they used my information to encode it.
