Not in their case, some companies can limit users to hardware ilok only and nfr, which is illegal in certain countries..many in fact..all countries in the eu etc., in addition to this uad does not include all plugins native, example, avalon vt737

Nobody has touched ilok2 on macOS. And the Mx transition is still going on for mac, so R2R might not bother for a longer time.

i still dont get whats so special about these plugins?
i have trialed them in november and arent anything special.

I fear thats similar to Falcon here, it was long hidden away from us, behind a hardware dongle and we expect it to be something great or even better a certain status, which it might not be as we have better plugins at hand already. Also the prices UA are insane.

I like C-VOX and the Real time autotune. But they are not native so it defeat the purpose. The rest of the plugins are as good as others imo.
I havent tried the instruments but im curious.
I'll probably buy the Diamond Bundle in March and see how it goes.

you want the best vocal plugs, best 1176 etc, cause uad makes the 1176 hardware, also avalon, manley, their api 2500, distressor are top notch.

The rest like amps are softube crap, made by nazi a55holes who claim to be rock ‘n’ roll scientists

Arturia FX Collection is indeed really good. Better than Waves (unsurprisingly) and on par with UAD. Sad that most of their synth stuff is just ok, not even close to the level of u-he.

I have the arturia fx but need to have a proper play around with them I usually use Soundtoys as my fx go-tos. You think Arturia are better than Soundtoys too? I'm too inexperienced to know to be honest

They have their own hardware and plugs, uad makes the 1176, nothing matches their pres/comps/eqs..the avalon vt737 is even better then the hardware..
