Yep, but old Creamware PCI cards are fully supported. And they're dirty cheap now.
Check 'Creamware Pulsar' at Reverb/eBay. I saw them for 30-40$

Yeah but i doubt anyone would like to spend time with it, when you need a PCi card for it to work. Sorry.

I dont even have a PCi slot anymore in my desktop.

I guess it worth trying. There are many cheap PCI-PCIe adapters on market.
By paying 50 bucks overall You'll get a bunch of actually hardware synths, including John Bowen's Solaris and many more. Not to mention tons of effects\sequenncers etc.
