REQ: Nail The Mix The Contortionist

You know Jamie King for his work with bands like Between The Buried And Me, Alesana, A Skylit Drive, and For Today, and this month on Nail The Mix he'll be mixing "Return To Earth" by one of today's most respected and exciting progressive rock bands The Contortionist.
What's cool, interesting + challenging about this session:
This is a very "real," analog session: no drum samples, all real amps for the bass/guitar tones, and most of the synths are analog synths
​ The drum room was small, so you'll need to find a way to make them feel big without ruining the authentic, analog character of the session
Jamie does a lot of synthetic stereo panning, ala the Beatles: copying over a track and offsetting it by 30 ms or so and panning them hard left and right
