REQ: Swan Audio Classic Prophet for u-he Repro-5
A comprehensive study through the Prophet musical history was taken, cherry picking the best sounds used in both hits and hidden gems, and then added to that a score of original Swan Audio sounds in keeping with the classic analogue style.
The sounds often have gentle velocity sensitivity to aid phrasing, and judicious use of the excellent effects which enhance but don’t overpower the tone of the synth. Musicality is the most important end point so the sounds are not always slavishly held within the Prophet 5 voice limits, although for total authenticity the voices can be easily restricted to 5 and effects bypassed.
Many presets have classic Prophet style vibrato, or a little added dimension with the mod wheel. RePro 5 also has some extended features such as voice panning and oscillator variations which have been mildly explored whilst keeping to the ‘classic analogue’ ethos…
