REQ: SuperWave Wavelight VMI

Wavelight VMI is a powerful sample-based virtual synthesizer containing legendary sounds of the Fairlight CMI IIx. If you’re looking for a synthesizer containing famous sounds of the 80’s then you must check out the Wavelight VMI.
The Fairlight CMI IIx in the 80's was out of reach for most with its hefty price tag, used by countless artists such as Duran Duran, Jan Hammer, Jean-Michel Jarre, Kate Bush, Pet Shop Boys, Peter Gabriel, Tears for Fears, The Art of Noise, Thomas Dolby, Yello and many more… the Fairlight CMI IIx still remains a highly regarded instrument even to this day.
Wavelight VMI has three sections, Synth, Sequence and Drum. The Synth section is a subtractive synthesizer in which you can manipulate sounds very easily. Envelopes are edited using draggable node points for quick and easy access and a Multi-Effects engine enhances the final output. The Sequence section has two Modulation sequencers which has multiple output destinations and a Gate sequencer which retriggers samples and envelopes for rhythmic sequences. The Drum section is an 8 voice drum module which has editable envelopes for filter noise reduction and a Multi-Effects engine which has effects sends for each of the drum voices. The Multi-Effects for both Synth and Drum include Tone, Chorus, Phaser, Delay and Reverb.
Wavelight VMI sound library comes with 638 embedded samples which we have painstakingly re-looped to zero-crossing points for seamless loops, where possible. Otherwise, a crossfade is used if absolutely necessary. There are 256 presets which include Animals, Basses, Brass, Drums, Effects, Guitars, Mallets, Organs, Pads, Pianos, Plucked, Strings, Synth, Voices and Wind.
