[obsolete] ...Thanks?

Old habits die hard

dunno about that... sometimes i want to shout "Thanks" too, but if i know there is a special button for that (and in our case it's a quite big one), why wouldn't i use that instead?

that is something i don't understand...

i guess, people need the time to find out and get used to it ;)

this is just your opinion.
personally i cant stand forums, blogs where posts are perpetually spammed with THANKS!,etc, when that posting space can be used for posting mirror links or other important information, thus meaning you have to go through countless posts/pages of THANKS! just to find something that may be of importance.

The Thanks Button is great. So I hope all people use it.

saying thanks also let me know i downloaded as well as a nicer way but i will use the thanks button from now on now that we have it

Most posts don't really get 100's of thanks comments. Now with the button it's quick and easy, but sometimes I like to say something personal.

we'll get

"Rapidshare or Megaupload please" or "virus detected" on every false positive

"thanks" button is not see on safari. only show "say". so I not know is where a button until now.

As has been stated already, it seems just out and out rude to NOT say THANKS! I always try and put something, kinda to feel like it is a 2 way street and to let the HERO`s that UL these treasures for us that it is really appreciated. Old Habits and long ingrained manners.

This site is like a gold mine, gives possibility to explore things you wouldn't be able to do otherwise, so need to say thanks for that somehow.. Why not do it in a way suggestion is? Have to say, that for me writing that 20th "thanks" have being a issue. Does poster really read all those individually? And to read something useful of the post, you have to browse to page 20.. uh.. how sense. This new way is really improvement, and I believe encourages to say thanks for every one fiding the post useful. Not to mention to browse finding the useful info, if there's issues with post. Those things cleans up the site a whole lot.

It's just because most are so dumb, that they don't even understand that it's better to say nothing unless you have to say something meaningful ("thanks" might mean something for someone, but usually it's absolutely meaningless for everyone else). I never said thanks, until the button appeared.

Oh, yeah, I'm being arrogant ;)
