such a great idea for a documentary. but wow waaay too much of that kenny guy just talk talk talking when they could have been showing way more footage of games, hardware, and interesting photos from those eras. also way too much focus on british artists only (my same critique with patch.cv modular music documentary - way too much focus on only american artists). and there's so much more than the commodore sid chips that make up the chiptune story and scene (nes, gameboy, sega's chips). so it's a fairly weak documentary as far as the whole of chiptunes go, imho.

Very underwhelming, were it not for the influential interviewees, it could have easily been a youtube essay. Just some talk about the SID, and a little bit about the Amiga and that's it.

the imdb was pretty low for this - a 5.0. i've found nothing is worth watching usually, that is below a 7 on imdb. but i was hoping for the best when giving this one a spin.

anyway, hope to see more music/sound based movies here at audioz in the future!

Real shame they didn't give examples of the music they were talking about. Maybe copyright or something. The Commodore Story had more examples in it.
